Police Believe Neo-Nazi Killed 4 and Then Himself in Arizona

GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) — Police said Thursday that they believe a former Marine with ties to neo-Nazi and Minutemen groups shot four people and then took his own life in a suburban Phoenix home.

Gilbert police spokesman Sgt. Bill Balafas said that police believe Jason Todd Ready, 39, was the gunman in Wednesday’s shootings in a home in Gilbert.

Ready lived in the home with a woman who was among the dead. In addition to Ready’s girlfriend, the dead include the woman’s daughter and granddaughter and the daughter’s boyfriend, according to media reports.

Ready was known in Arizona for organizing a militia with the goal of finding illegal immigrants and drug smugglers. Known as “J.T.,” Ready led an outfit known as the U.S. Border Guard that dressed in military fatigues and body armor and carried assault rifles during patrols for illegal immigrants in the desert south of Phoenix.

That may be what the Police believe, but the followers of J.T. Ready seem to believe a bit differently.

Yes, they DO say *unconfirmed* reports, but the post was 18 hours old when I copied it for this story. Somehow I just don’t see a *cartel hit squad* coming into Gilbert, AZ. any more than I bought into the story a while back about Los Zetas taking over a ranch in South Texas and engaging in an armed standoff. That story was quickly sent to *the dust bin* because it was false. Multiple Ranches in Laredo, TX Taken Over by Los Zetas.

It seems to me that nearly everything I have found about the Minutemen and neo-Nazis has turned out to be much ado about nothing.

Back to J.T. Ready; somehow, I just can’t see Ready having any serious support in a run for Sheriff. Who, other than like-minded sycophants and his fellow travelers in the Nazi Party would support this guy?

It seems to me that J.T. Ready may have been a bit *conflicted* in his beliefs. I don’t think he knew which side of the road he wanted to stand on.
