Obama defends phone data collection program

Barack ObamaWASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama vigorously defended sweeping secret surveillance into America’s phone records and foreigners’ Internet use, declaring “we have to make choices as a society.”

Taking questions Friday from reporters at a health care event in San Jose, Calif., Obama said, “It’s important to recognize that you can’t have 100 percent security and also then have 100 percent privacy and zero inconvenience.”

It was revealed late Wednesday that the National Security Agency has been collecting the phone records of hundreds of millions of U.S. phone customers. The leaked document first reported by the Guardian newspaper gave the NSA authority to collect from all of Verizon’s land and mobile customers, but intelligence experts said the program swept up the records of other phone companies too. Another secret program revealed Thursday scours the Internet usage of foreign nationals overseas who use any of nine U.S.-based internet providers such as Microsoft and Google.

In his first comments since the programs were publicly revealed this week, Obama said safeguards are in place.

“They help us prevent terrorist attacks,” Obama said. He said he has concluded that prevention is worth the “modest encroachments on privacy.” SOURCE

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither. ~Benjamin Franklin~

That said, and you’ll have to pardon my language on this one; Barack Hussein Obama, you are a LYING SON OF A BITCH! There is NO circumstance that justifies the actions that you and your GESTAPO have taken against the American people.

You believe in “Modest encroachments on privacy”? Encroachments on the privacy of American citizens? You can’t be serious.

When the Patriot Act was written I wasn’t exactly comfortable with it but I was of the opinion that if you did nothing wrong you had nothing to worry about. The Patriot Act was supposedly written to allow unfettered access to suspected and known terrorists and all of THEIR information.

A number of people pointed out that the Patriot Act was a good idea at the time but was a document that could be easily bastardized and turned against the American people. I didn’t see that at the time, although I did readily admit that there were dangers, but at the time the Act was written George W. Bush was the POTUS and I was convinced that he wouldn’t abuse the broad authority of the Patriot Act and use it to SPY on American citizens that are guilty of nothing more than being American citizens.

At that particular time I had never considered that we would have an anti-American Socialist SOB like Barack Hussein Obama rise to the presidency. At that time I couldn’t fathom a POTUS that would be more concerned about the rights of Muslims the world over than he would be with doing what was best and right for America.

When George Orwell wrote the novel 1984 most folks read it and thought, ‘that can’t be a reality, it’s a work of fiction and could NEVER happen here in America…’

Well, hindsight being 20/20, I wish I could have laid some bets on it.

We are now in an Orwellian America. Our emails are monitored, our phone calls are monitored, our social media is monitored, this site is monitored, of that I am certain, I have the tools to see who reads the blog and where they are while reading it.

For a long time I was happy to see those hits from Washington and the surrounding area, I was thinking ‘wow, someone in the federal chain is actually reading my stuff, maybe they will catch a clue and get this nation back together…’

That was before the Obama regime was in place.

Now, I am still happy to know they are reading this blog, you see, I don’t give a DAMN about what Obama, Holder or the NSA thinks about my blogging. Nothing short of a full collapse of the ‘net or arrest, incarceration or my death will stop me from expressing my opinion of Obama and what I see as the most inept, criminal and anti-American regime in the history of America!

As I said in yesterday’s post; to those NSA employees that may or may not be reading the blog, hacking my email or listening to my phones calls, KEEP LISTENING AND READING YOU BASTARDS! You might actually learn something.

Remember our Founding Fathers and their hard work and sacrifice, and remember the words of Patrick Henry; “I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death.”

If you are an American and you’re not *mad as hell* at this point in our history, YOU are as much a part of the problem as is the evil regime of Barack Hussein Obama!

I like the more modern saying: “I would rather live in dangerous freedom than the safety of slavery.”

    Or, words to that effect.

Basically, let the bastiges continue to try to attack us. They will piss off the right combination of people, We the People will rise up and defend our nation and our Constitution – against whoever may be attacking it, from whatever spin or angle they are attacking it. Many of the believers in this nation and the Second Amendment are ready and willing to take the fight to whoever wants to receive it.

Couldn’t agree with you more Fred!

Back after 9/11, people were united, pulled together because we knew and felt the danger’s of what was against us. Sadly, in the years since, politicians and the ‘alphabets’ as well as groups that hate our country being united in freedom have worked overtime to rip the country and her people apart enough to have a chance for someone like Obama to come in, making all manner of promises and doing exactly what he said he wouldn’t.

People are stupid. I spent months before the election in 2012 telling people to get informed, KNOW what you’re voting for and supporting before you step into that voter box. And yet the uninformed voters supporting the the man irregardless and turning a blind eye to horrible things he does have all but signed the death warrant of our country. I feel more deeply these days the sadness I felt the day after he was ‘re-elected’ and mourn the loss of what we had in a nation (and yet still have the potential to continue to have) just as if the country had died and was buried on 11/7/2012.

We’re not dead yet… But if these self-centered prima donna asshats in the Congress and Senate don’t take Obama out, then it’s up to American Patriots..

      Barring that, yeah, we’re dead…

OK, we’d like to see your Kenyan birth certificate (THE REAL ONE…)
    Your passport records…Social Security…College transcripts…
Just (UNSEAL) and start sharing the “privacy records” that EVERY PREVIOUS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN RECENT HISTORY HAS PROVIDED and we’ll let you know when we’ve seen enough!

Oh, and then re-imburse “We The People” the millons in legal fees you paid (of OUR monies) in efforts to keep the aforementioned sealed…

    OK, I’m done (for now)…
