Senator John Cornyn abandons Senator Ted Cruz effort to defund Obamacare.
Sen. Cornyn has pulled his name from the letter and as such is not supporting Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and helping to give squishy moderates in the House the cover for them to cave again.
Sen. Cornyn’s office is telling people that the Cruz/Lee bill will not defund, and more outrageously that Cruz is working on another bill that Cornyn will later support. Both of these claims are 100% false. The letter to be signed is for the bill currently in the Senate.
That bill is THE defund bill.
Establishment Republicans could completely defund the implementation of Obamacare and fund government. If the House leads on this issue they can put it on the table and give Obama the choice to either defund Obamacare or to shutdown government. That should be a decision that falls squarely on Obama’s plate. Instead, Republicans are cowering and refusing to stand firm and on principle.
We need to hold Sen. Cornyn accountable for failing to stand up for Texas and failing to get Sen. Cruz’s back. Please coordinate with your groups and communicate to groups in Houston and San Antonio, as well as Austin.
If Cornyn is going to try to start aligning against Cruz on core conservative issues we need to be VERY vocal that this is absolutely unacceptable.
We are key voting both the signing of the letter and the vote on defund in both the House and the Senate.

Sen. John Cornyn has seriously lost a lot of Texas Conservative support with this STUPID move.
I’m not sure if the full impact of his GUTLESS move has sunk in just yet. I DO know this, I received 3 calls from his staff yesterday, I was too angry to talk to them on the 1st and 2nd call, so by the time the 3rd call hit I was to the point that I just didn’t care.
I told the caller that they were wasting their time trying to make excuses for Cornyn, that I was pretty much done with him and that I considered him to be a *GUTLESS son of a bitch*. My EXACT words.
Then I hung up on them.
My wife, being the funny person she is, looks at me and says, “Why didn’t you just tell them how you really feel about Cornyn?” 
I have had serious issues with John Cornyn ever since he was elected to the U.S. Senate, so much so that I did NOT support him in his re-election bid. I have long considered Cornyn to be a RINO of the 1st order, and have long felt that he was led by the nose by former Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, another RINO from HELL.
I had hoped that once she (Hutchison) was gone from office that Cornyn, having a REAL Conservative like Ted Cruz to work with, would suddenly remember which desk drawer he had his BALLS stored in and would get them back out, reinstall them and actually go to work FOR Texas Conservatives.
I guess I was wrong in that hope.
I have long said, NO MORE RINOs, and I still stand by that today. I hope my friends and neighbors here in Texas will see John Cornyn for the gutless RINO he is and will stand with me as we make every effort to replace Sen. Cornyn this next election and put another *fire eater* in the U.S. Senate that can complement the efforts of Sen. Ted Cruz and those allied against Obamacare, Obama himself and everything that the Democrats have brought down on this nation!
John Cornyn has been found to be lacking in courage; that is something Texans will not tolerate!
Being a “Republican” has lost it’s meaning. They might as well be Democrats.

They tell me, “No 3rd Party” but if we keep on with the same old BS from the GOP we’re going to keep getting the same BS Presidents from the DNC…
It’s amazing that GOP doesn’t band together and fight the Commie administration as one. Instead we have RINOS like your Cornyn and our fabulous John McCain who should leave the GOP immediately as he drifts farther Left daily. We have a big fight on our hands and we need to kick out the RINOS and have a party that actually stands for something. The current GOP is handing it to the opposition and I don’t even know what it stands for anymore…very disappointing!
Cornyn just lost my vote. Anyone who wants to maintain Obamacare is both a Communist and an enemy of this Republic. Cornyn has just shown his true colors.
It seems the line is being drawn in the sand. The Republicans have tried their moderation candidates in McCain and Romney and have given this country over to the worse threat it has ever faced. Their problem is they still haven’t learned and it’s going to further lead us into third world status in 2016.
Cornyn is catching heck on his FB page today. He’s posted 4-5 of his conservative “scores” from various right-leaning groups, and it reeks of desperation.
Let’s primary him.
I just sent him an email and a fax to his office. I told him if he does not stand with Ted Cruz I am going to vote against him in the next primary. I also told him I will give my money and time supporting a real conservative that will fight for what is right. Those pretending to be conservative when they are not need to be voted out!
Fully agreed Jim… I know there’s a lot of people making a lot of excuses but Cornyn needs to take a stand and lose his RINO horn..
I am joining the rest. I will not vote for John Cornyn come election time either. You are either for Texas or against Texas and it looks like he is against Texans.
I say we take away his health care and let him have OBama Care!!!!
