The Fight Against ILLEGAL Immigration

The Fight Against ILLEGAL Immigration

Pete Sessions 675x825I have been told, directly and specifically, by my Congressman, Rep. Pete Sessions, that there will be no amnesty given to anyone. If I understood him correctly and if I am reading the following stories correctly, there truly may BE no plans for an amnesty gift to ILLEGALS. Not one that is called AMNESTY.

But if there is NO blanket amnesty, yet there is a *path to citizenship* made available to the ILLEGALS in this nation, isn’t that simply a *back door* road to amnesty? Isn’t that merely a game of poorly played semantics?

From my fellow blogger and Southern Patriot, J.D. Longstreet at Omega Option: Please read the following brief article to learn how far the GOP has leaned toward granting AMNESTY for Illegal Aliens in America as of this writing: House leaders sell immigration blueprint – POLITICO.com

CAMBRIDGE, Md. — The House Republican leadership is trying to sell their colleagues on a series of broad immigration principles, including a path to legal status for those here illegally.

Speaker John Boehner’s leadership team introduced the principles at their annual policy retreat here. Top Republicans circulated a tightly held one-page memo titled “standards for immigration reform” toward the tail-end of a day that include strategy conversations about Obamacare, the economy and the national debt.

And then there’s this from a different source:

Family fight: GOP debates next move on immigration

CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) – House Republicans wrestled inconclusively with the outlines of immigration legislation Thursday night, sharply divided over the contentious issue itself and the political wisdom of acting on it in an election year.

At a three-day retreat on the frozen banks of the Choptank River on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, GOP leaders circulated an outline that would guide the drafting of any House Republican legislation on the subject – a document that Speaker John Boehner told the rank and file was as far as the party was willing to go.

It includes a proposed pathway to legal status for millions of adults who live in the U.S. unlawfully – after they pay back taxes and fines – but not the special route to citizenship that President Barack Obama and many Democrats favor. SOURCE

We already have a *path to citizenship*, it’s called get your ILLEGAL ass OUT of the USA and come back through proper channels; citizenship application, work visa, whatever the case may be, come here legally, serve this nation as a member of the military, complete the citizenship requirements that are YOUR duty and obligation, work and pay taxes like most everyone else and become a CITIZEN, a LEGAL citizen, and then there’s no problem what so ever.

There are many Conservative bloggers that are taking this issue on. Are we ALL wrong? I think not, and I offer more from my friend Longstreet: Omega Option: Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory … Again?.

J_ D_ LongstreetThe Republican Party is set to reap a virtual bumper crop of votes from the “Obamasick” electorate in November increasing their numbers in the US House of Representatives and securing control of the US Senate … unless … they push through an Amnesty for Illegal Aliens bill known as Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Look. You can slice it and dice it, twist it and turn it, and it STILL means amnesty.

I have no degree from the ivy covered ivory towers of academia, but I have enough smarts to know that for the GOP to go after the Hispanic vote is a lost cause. It is wasted time, effort and money … and conservative voters who will stay home again in November IF the GOP insists on passing an Amnesty for Illegal Aliens bill.

If the GOP passes the immigration bill, it will be the end of the GOP … period. All those undocumented aliens are, in fact, undocumented democrats.

Amnesty for Illegal Aliens Bill, Comprehensive Immigration Reform, again I ask; are we playing a game of semantics? Do our elected officials think we don’t see that for what it is? Do they believe that because we are the *unwashed masses* that we can’t grasp the full meaning of their words and see through the cloud of BS to the REAL intent?

Longstreet has just given the GOP the outcome for 2014 and 2016 if there is ANY *path to citizenship*, or, more correctly, some form of *stealth amnesty* is thrown into the mix. Defeat from the jaws of victory is NOT just a catchy title, it IS the truth no matter what anyone says, a *path to citizenship*, amnesty by ANY name, will destroy the GOP.

I am not some hard-headed far Right loon that wants no immigration into the USA and one that hates ALL immigrants. I am a Conservative blogger and voter that has a pretty broad base of readership, a following that is quite intelligent and doesn’t fall for every line of BS that gets spoken. All WE want is for those that come to the USA to come here LEGALLY, not be waived in some way, not GIVEN citizenship, we want them to come here because they WANT to be here, for love of freedom and the USA.

I have posted this repeatedly but for new readers; I am the grandson of an immigrant, a legal immigrant that found his way to Texas in 1919 and eventually settled in Shreveport Louisiana.

My family was raised as an AMERICAN family, with this, the USA, being our home, not just a place to live and prosper as we considered some other nation to be our REAL home.

We are not hyphenated Americans; we are Americans, plain and simple, and our allegiance is to this nation, the Constitution and the American people. Our family came to America through those *proper channels* I mentioned earlier and personally, I have NO USE for ILLEGALS of ANY ilk nor those that would sign a bill to GIVE them American citizenship. That is AMNESTY, no matter what they call it.

  1. Any Republicans who favor any kind of amnesty, no matter what they call it, I consider to be self-serving traitors to the party and to the country. They’re only interested in their own reelections, financed by the people who want cheap labor. All these illegal immigrants, future Democrat voters, will be the end of the Republican Party on the national level.

I knew many foreign nationals who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. These men and women whose goal was to obtain citizenship served and sacrificed for this country. I was proud and honored to write Letters of Recommendation for those who served honorably under me for them to use when they applied for their citizenship. This is one of the honorable paths to citizenship in this country; just like those taken by our fathers and grandfathers.

Too many chiefs that don’t listen to the indians. Washington (district of corruption) will do what it is told to do by the shadow government. It wasn’t too long ago that I didn’t believe that there was an outside influence on our reps. It is now displayed for all to see. It makes no sense that a conservative would stay home instead of rallying every other conservative they know to get up off their ass and go vote for the most conservative candidate on the ballot. If you don’t like the incumbent, vote against him/her. To do nothing is absurd, and I still believe that the electronic voting/counting is rigged.

  4. LD Jackson says:

It is beyond my level of comprehension why the Republican Party leadership can not see the danger in the path they are proposing we take. They are totally naive, or just plain foolish, if they believe granting amnesty (yes, it really is amnesty) to millions of illegal immigrants will endear them to the GOP. If they insist on following through with this, the GOP is finished.

The 2012 election brought us more than just four more years of Obama. The Monday morning quarterbacking that has been conducted, trying to determine why we lost the election, has completely missed the point. They are singularly focused on the false theory that the Republican Party has to gain the Hispanic vote, if they ever hope of winning another national election. That lie has been perpetrated since Romney lost the election and the Republican Party leadership is swallowing it, hook, line, and sinker. In doing so, they are dooming us to failure.
