Just how much can the ~Gun Grabbers~ really do?

How many gun owners are there in the United States of America?
Most estimates range between 39% and 50% of US households having at least one gun (that’s about 43-55 million households). The estimates for the number of privately owned guns range from 190 million to 300 million. Removed those that skew the stats for their own purposes the best estimates are about 45% or 52 million of American households owning 260 million guns). SOURCE
Almost half of the homes in America are gun owners according to that little statistic.
Given the fact that many of those households are at least *2 person homes* and assuming that they are quite likely to have more than one gun per household, I would say that these are conservative figures.
Suppose the current Attorney General, Eric Holder, were to issue an edict ordering ALL Americans to turn in their guns? Suppose *The One* forces our lawmakers into reinstating the AWB? Suppose Obama and Holder decide to enter a period of Totalitarianism and take full control of the citizens of this nation?
Who is going to enforce this edict? The BATF?? The FBI?? Maybe the Army or the National Guard? Maybe State, County/Parish or Local police??
I wouldn’t put it past the FBI or BATF to try, they are nothing more than Federal automatons anyway. They will blindly follow the orders of *The One* and sacrifice themselves in the process.
Our Army and National Guard, as well as our police forces, are made up of regular, every day *Joe’s* and *Jane’s*, folks just like you and me. They work, they live, they have families, they pay taxes and they are just all around plain folks. Most of them are *sport* shooters. Many of them are hunters. Many of them have friends and families that are shooters and hunters, people that are simply *sportsmen*.
I have absolutely NO faith of any kind when it comes to the depravity of our federal government and their minions in suits at the various *Alphabet* Agencies! None!
I do, on the other hand, have great faith in our soldiers and police officers, and their desire to stand by the American people, their homes, their families and friends! I do have the greatest confidence that they will honor their oath to ‘defend against ALL enemies, both foreign AND domestic’. I have total faith that our troops and law enforcement personnel will easily recognize the enemies of this nation for exactly WHO, and WHAT they are.
But suppose they don’t? What are they going to do with roughly 100 MILLION Americans that are gun owners and users? People that have absolutely NO intention of giving those weapons up? As our forefathers said in their day, “Live FREE or DIE�?, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately�? and more recently, “Death before dishonor�?.
The time is rapidly approaching America. Do we sit idly by? Do we engage in some pacifist type of peaceful protest in support of the 2nd Amendment by sacrificing ourselves to the fools on point in D.C. as we show our unarmed support for the 2A? Or do we stand as FREE men and women and fight for our freedom once again? Fight against those that DO intend on disarming this nation and taking us from being citizens to subjects?
My personal view is this: ‘I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death’, and given the fact that our military has taken so long to almost pacify Iraq, and has yet to pacify Afghanistan, nations approximately the size of Texas, if WE, The People don’t lay down and roll over, if WE, The People don’t willingly lay down our guns, HOW IN THE HELL is any of this going to happen to the gun owners of the U.S.A.? The asshats in D.C. need to remember who they work for, We, The People put them in office, We, The People can damn sure remove them from office too!
These are serious points to ponder and I hope this post generates much thought and many comments!
IF we can get everybody to stand proud, there’s NO WAY they could take away guns from 1/2 the populace. They wouldn’t dare remove taxpayers from the role of paying for all their socialist programs on anywhere that magnitude anyway. The facts remain however that we need to keep all the screwed up anti-gun bills from being enacted into law in the 1st place.
One of the main things that separates the Armed Forces of the United States from an other nation is that our people think for themselves. Although there are always a few, the overwhelming vast majority will not blindly follow orders.
Obeying lawful orders are duty, as is refusal to obey an unlawful order. can you say Posse Comitatus?
Bottom line; they don’t have the power to actually stage a full scale gun grab. The only way it could happen would be through a mass voluntary act of compliance.
Now, remember me posting about cover language? Specifically the use of the term “law abiding citizen?” Guess what? How many of you will be willing to be branded an outlaw? All they have to do, is pass a law.
Then, the BATFE and FBI can go and try a round up basing it on what the law is. Never mind the oath that they swore, they will, after all. Just be doing their jobs, and following orders. I call that a Nuremberg style defense myself.

Patrick, as I said, *most* of our troops and LAW personnel will have the intelligence to KNOW who and what the REAL enemy is…
And again, as I said, the BATF and FBI are totally brainwashed wild cards… But there are not enough troops, police OR Feds to disarm this nation, unless WE let them…

They won’t go with a full scale grab.
It will be registration, first. Has to. Then demonize the ones who don’t register, pick us up/off one by one here and there, brand us “terrorists” in the media, divide and conquer, start with the 50 cals, “sniper rifles” (hunting rifles), “Saturday night specials” (any handgun suitable for concealed carry), picking off certain types of ammo, it goes on and on. They will have the full complicity of the media, of course.
I wish I had that much confidence in the local police. But the actions of the local police after Katrina in New Orleans taught us a lesson there.
They can have all my guns, every single one. Bullets first, moving at a very high rate of speed.
Kylevet must be reading my mind-that’s EXACTLY how they’ll do it. Those of us that go down in an firestorm will be branded as wackos that snapped to avoid mass protest and action by those of us they haven’t got to yet.
Guys, we have MORE guns and a hell of a lot more people than ALL of the federal agencies, and most of the cops and military will NOT go for this…
New Orleans was an example of Martial Law… That was a declaration needed simply because they asshole sons a bitches IN that shit hole called New Orleans were shooting at the troops and the cops that were there to SAVE their sorry asses, and that was, in MY opinion, the best, and likely safest action they could take…
They took a few guns from the hands of people that were USING them, and before anyone brings up the old black woman in the YouTube, she may not have shot at anyone but she was trying… Once in a while, if I am under fire particularly, I am going to do one of 2 things, take their guns away to negate them killing me as I am trying to save them or I am going to return fire in great volume…
You pick it…. NOLA was a rescue mission, not an exercise in 2A rights, the only ones that had guns taken away were those that were trying to shoot the hired help…
Any that disagree with that should have had their asses IN New Orleans and seen it 1st hand, and if this opinion of mine causes some to not want to post here, tote your ass… I KNOW, 1st hand, what went on in NOLA, I saw it, not the news reports, 1st hand… OK??

I wasn’t referring to New Orleans, I’m blissfully ignorant about what happened there. But the method by which they’ll try to split us apart in order to enact more gun control laws. They try to splinter us off 1 class at a time.
