TexasFred Suggests: Impeach Barack Obama

TexasFred Suggests: Impeach Barack Obama

I don’t want us to get too far ahead of the game, but this health care travesty is going to bankrupt the American economy. Or, maybe I should say, this health care debacle is going to finish bankrupting the American economy.

Would it be out of line to make a suggestion?

I am fully convinced that this bill WILL bring about the destruction of America.

I’m not a constitutional lawyer, or, a lawyer of any kind for that matter, but if an individual is responsible for the destruction of a nation, I am thinking that impeachment is the 1st order of business we face in rectifying the situation that our great nation is faced with.

Impeachment

Impeachment is a formal process in which an elected official is accused of unlawful activity, and which may or may not lead to the removal of that official from office. It is the first of two stages. Impeachment does not necessarily result in removal from office; it is only a legal statement of charges, parallel to an indictment in criminal law. An official who is impeached faces a second legislative vote (whether by the same body or another), which determines conviction, or failure to convict, on the charges embodied by the impeachment. Most constitutions require a supermajority to convict. Although the subject of the charge is criminal action, it does not constitute a criminal trial; the only question under consideration is the removal of the individual from office, and the possibility of a subsequent vote preventing the removed official from ever again holding political office in the jurisdiction where he was removed.

The word “impeachment” derives from Latin roots expressing the idea of becoming caught or entrapped, and has analogues in the modern French verb empĂŞcher (to prevent) and the modern English impede. Medieval popular etymology also associated it (wrongly) with derivations from the Latin impetere (to attack). (In its more frequent and more technical usage, impeachment of a person in the role of a witness is the act of challenging the honesty or credibility of that person.)

The process should not be confused with a recall election. A recall election is usually initiated by voters and can be based on “political charges”, for example mismanagement, whereas impeachment is initiated by a constitutional body (usually a legislative body) and is usually, but not always, based on an indictable offense. The process of removing the official is also different. SOURCE

And after reading that last paragraph, if there are those that feel impeachment is too harsh an indictment against Barack Hussein Obama and his administration, perhaps the recall election may be a bit more gentle way of removing this anti-American SOCIALIST from office.

Impeachable offenses

In the United States, impeachment can occur both at the federal and state level. The Constitution defines impeachment at the federal level and limits impeachment to “The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States” who may only be impeached and removed for “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors“.

As I said, I’m NOT a lawyer, I don’t play one on television and I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn last night, but ‘treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors’ covers a lot of ground.

Would giving bribes qualify I wonder? Bribes by any name?

President Obama is getting some face time with two lawmakers who are skeptical of healthcare reform.

The president invited Reps. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) and Martha Fudge (D-Ohio) aboard Air Force One for his flight Monday to Ohio, where the president will hold a townhall on healthcare. Kucinich represents the Cleveland suburbs where Obama will be speaking.

Both lawmakers are liberals who are upset that the bill does not go far enough to crack down on insurance companies. Kucinich has said he is a “firm no,” while Fudge is undecided. The flight will give the president an opportunity to press the Ohioans to vote for final passage.

House Democratic leaders hope to vote on the Senate’s healthcare reform bill by the weekend, and are trying to secure the 216 votes necessary for passage. Obama is expected to lobby a number of members. SOURCE

There was some funny business taking place on Air Force ONE I think… Just sayin’…

What about this? One of the most unpopular presidents in recent American history uses strong arm tactics to force his Obamacare on a nation.

Overall, 43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. That also matches the lowest level yet recorded for this President. Fifty-six percent (56%) disapprove. SOURCE

Forcing HIS will upon a nation that, by a large margin, has rejected it and is making it abundantly clear that they don’t want it? Isn’t that an exhibition of dictatorial powers and likely in direct opposition to the U.S. Constitution? High Crimes perhaps?

I don’t really believe it would be construed as treason, but Obama has proved himself to be NO friend to the most wonderful ally the United States could have, Israel.

Officials said the U.S. military was ordered to divert a shipment of smart bunker-buster bombs from Israel to a military base in Diego Garcia. They said the shipment of 387 smart munitions had been slated to join pre-positioned U.S. military equipment in Israel Air Force bases.

“This was a political decision,” an official said.

In 2008, the United States approved an Israeli request for bunker-busters capable of destroying underground facilities, including Iranian nuclear weapons sites. Officials said delivery of the weapons was held up by the administration of President Barack Obama. SOURCE

Forced RULE of the American people. Bribes, strong arm gangster tactics to persuade others to do things his way. Turning his back on Israel. Numerous other actions that can’t possibly stand the light of day, corruption, tax evaders, perverts, homosexuals, communists, all within the administration of one Barack Hussein Obama.

Surely there are some seriously impeachable offenses in there. For the love of God, Bill Clinton was impeached for lying about receiving oral sex from Monica Lewinsky. Did that little act of theater, the Clinton Impeachment, make impeachment an option that law makers are afraid to use?

If anyone can think of more LEGITIMATE charges, feel free to add them in comments, but be warned, because I hate him or because he’s black and any other such nonsense will be deleted. I know there’s more that can be brought out, so, speak your minds, but PLEASE, keep it clean, and keep it professional!

A few folks have asked if this blog is being monitored. I am guessing they mean monitored by the U.S. government. My answer is YES, we are being monitored, read, digested and cataloged by the powers that be. This is not a site for those with FEAR in their hearts!

Fred - Impeachment is justified but won’t happen without a GOP majority and then I believe it takes a two thirds vote. Obama is working with a stacked deck. If things really get bad other measures would have to be used. Hope the 2010 elections go our way.

I’m no lawyer either, but I would have to believe that under some legal theory what he has done may very well qualify as an impeachable offense.

Will it happen though? I highly doubt that.

I would like to know from the very beginning,,,just why has the Obama regime having spent millions of dollars and countless hours of government employees covering up the past records of this man.
Today, no one, other than his political henchmen, just really know who Obama REALLY is!!
The millions of taxpayer dollars spent on keeping this information a secret from our US taxpayers is an affront to all liberty and freedom loving Americans, including me.

I expect this travesty will continue to be kept covered up,, until a TEA PARTY CONSERVATIVE President is elected.

Hmmmmm! Someone give him a bj in the White House and he will be impeached, if we can figure out what the meaning of the word “is” is.

This is entirely an impeachable offense without a doubt but obviously that can’t start til November . And if I were running for office that’s what my tagline would be..sure many will, and THEY WILL WIN>

  7. comment number 7 by: Ron Russell

Impeach my ass, just hang the bastard and be done with him! I’ve had enough of this mulatto high yellow and his fellow travelers.

  8. comment number 8 by: Robert

Mmm, I am sure glad I support Obama in all things he does, Obama is the one, the only one. I will obey Obama…..

Sure hope that gets them off my ass….

Impeach obama? man, I wish we could. We got a lot of work to do before that happens.. The first step is to pressure the MSM to start doing their jobs, quit carrying the water for the president and actually be journalists. As long as they keep portraying Obama as the “Chosen one” the sheep of our nation will continue to support the POS muzzzie bastard…..Oops I mean the magnificent one…whew.

  9. comment number 9 by: TexasFred

    Here’s the options:

    1. We retake America in November, impeach Obama, along with his administration and repeal this bullshit bill

    2. We stand and fight in the NEW American revolution

    3. We submit and roll over.

I am all for taking the legal road to removal and repeal, I believe that the American majority is behind it too, America does NOT want this crap. I am convinced that ALL options are open, we have some warriors, but we have some freaking wimps and wusses too…

  10. comment number 10 by: minuteman26

Fred - We try for Option 1 and if that don’t work Option 2 looks to be our only choice left. That is unless you like serfdom.

  11. comment number 11 by: ChicagoRay

You left out the Kennedy Option Fred… ;)

  12. comment number 12 by: Bloviating Zeppelin

    A few thoughts:

    1. Just because Pelosi didn’t use DemonPass this time doesn’t mean they won’t pull it out again for illegal invaders or CapNTax — both of which are SURE to come next.
    2. Capitol Hill won’t stand for an impeachment, I don’t believe that even the public will. And the GOP still don’t have the votes.
    3. His melanin count will be another saving grace. It’s obvious but no one will say it.

    BZ

  13. comment number 13 by: TexasFred

I was deliberately leaving his skin tone OUT of the equation…

He’s a sorry POS, and I would feel that way if he were as white as snow, I feel that way about Pelosi and Reid, this is in NO WAY about race for me, it’s about right and wrong, and the Dems got this WRONG!

  14. comment number 14 by: TexasFred

And I have sent this to my Governor, Rick Perry, my Texas State Senator, Bob Deuell and my Texas House Rep, Joe Driver, asking them WHY Texas isn’t/hasn’t done this.

Idaho first to sign law against health care reform

I am anxiously awaiting their answers, especially from Joe Driver, he hates criticism, and I have been highly critical of him on occasion…

Sadly, Driver ran unopposed in this election… I didn’t vote for him this time, but since he was unopposed, I left the space for him blank, he didn’t get MY vote… I won’t vote for a man that represents THE PEOPLE OF TEXAS and votes on what HE believes, he’s there to vote what his constituents believe.

  15. comment number 15 by: glassgal

I feel sick. The U.S. is not the same. Fred you are right that we must not let BHO turn our nation into Chicago. Impeach or we must protect the US or at the very least Texas. I would rather have Texas secede than live under O and his minions.

I have written my weaselly US REP in the House of ILL Repute, and they haven’t come for me yet.

Just knowing others are also aware that we have no one in the Dems representing us. They are now ruling us.

    May God save us.

  16. comment number 16 by: Vigilante

I am not trying to be a smart a- when I ask this but, how many are going to start paying the tax when it becomes law? If the constitution is the law of the land, and it says that the federal government DOES NOT have the authority to make us buy anything from them, then, should the courts say otherwise?? If they do, well there is the place to start the retaking of America.

  17. comment number 17 by: ChicagoRay

“Author: glassgal” Take it from me you don’t want that. This place (city proper) is more of a shithole than Rio which is about as close to hell on earth as you can get, and yes that’s where an Olympic athlete will be killed for only the second time..

Chicago couldn’t even beat that dump with Obama flying out there especially for it !!!! This is the impeachable moment we needed.

  18. comment number 18 by: Mr Pink Eyes

I am on board, but first we have to make some major gains in both Houses. I am going to do my best to make sure that happens.

  19. comment number 19 by: glassgal

    ChicagoRay,
Why are you still there? Texas is the best place on this earth.
West Texas is the best. No offense meant to TexasFred.
Texas was an independent nation for 10 years. It can be again.

  20. comment number 20 by: ChicagoRay

I’ve actually been crippled for the past few years until recently and now I’m planning on bailing soon now that I’m ambulatory again and not stuck in this rainbow coalition shithole.

  21. comment number 21 by: minuteman26

Today is a sad and tragic day for the Republic. This vote on Obamacare has drawn a line in the sand. We now know who all the Communist rat-bastards are. The target list is now complete. All those that voted yes for this abortion of a bill; be advised We The People are coming for you. You can run but we will find you and defeat you. See ya’ll down the road. God bless America. We need it.

  22. comment number 22 by: HoosierArmyMom

    Here’s the options:

    1. We retake America in November, impeach Obama, along with his administration and repeal this bullshit bill

    2. We stand and fight in the NEW American revolution

    3. We submit and roll over.

Now Fred, you KNOW 3 is never going to be an option with this crowd!

I kind of agree with Ron. I’d like to go straight for the torches and pitch forks, march straight up the White House lawn and do some major house cleaning and then do the same on Capitol Hill!!!!

  23. comment number 23 by: TexasFred

The REAL bellwether will be how the markets react in the AM.. Wall Street is sensitive right now, and the DOW was down $37.19 at close on Friday..

Let’s see if there’s any *reasoning* to be done now…

  24. comment number 24 by: TexasFred

Just pointing out the options HAM…

  25. comment number 25 by: Bloviating Zeppelin

Well, that’s that. It’s a done deal. Monday, the first day of the geometric slide of the American nation.

    BZ

  26. comment number 26 by: BobF

The American People must regain control of congress if we’re going to save this nation. We not only need a filibuster proof senate but one that can override any presidential veto, effectively making Obama ineffective.

  27. comment number 27 by: HoosierArmyMom

The Tea Party Patriots on Facebook posted a “Repeal the Bill” Petition on Face book and within minutes it was up to over 6,000 signers!!! Incredible. People are really steamed. I think the Dems should get a bunch of boxes to pack up in, because they will be hard to find come November, when there will be a rush for them!!!!

  28. comment number 28 by: Katie

To impeach him you must have just cause that will stand up in a court of law (That is why the birther nonsense will not work.). Show me the felony to charge him with. That is the only thing that will be able to stand up to Consitutional scrunity.

  29. comment number 29 by: Joecephus

    Just cause?

How about pissing all over everything this country stands for?

What Obama and the bastards that voted on that bullshit bill is nothing short of traitorous.

It needs to be scorch and burn come November for the lot of them.

  30. comment number 30 by: Always On Watch

Would it be out of line to make a suggestion?

Hell, no. That is the solution, IMO.

  31. comment number 31 by: Always On Watch

Clarification: By “hell, no” I mean that BHO should and MUST be impeached.

  32. comment number 32 by: TexasFred

    @AOW, I knew what you meant… :D

  33. comment number 33 by: glassgal

Chicago Ray, Didn’t mean to be to be digging into your business. Texas will welcome you.

Got off last night to email Stupak and Pelosi. I know they don’t read my emails, but I feel better.
My husband and I are now worried about our parents. They are all in their 80’s. My Dad was really hurt when the stock market tanked. He is as alert as ever so I can’t question him on his finances. I worry how this insanity is going to hurt them.
Texas Fred, Texas will join the 10th Amendment lawsuit???
I haven’t read all the news but I wonder if we are just waiting for Obuma to sign it. Anyone know and, if you have posted any news on it,then please excuse me?
