States line up to challenge health care overhaul

States are already lining up to sue the federal government over the constitutionality of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.

Officials in at least 10 states have agreed to file a lawsuit challenging the legislation.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said he planned to file the complaint “the moment Obama signs the bill.”

Abbott pledged to pursue the case “to protect all Texans’ constitutional rights, preserve the constitutional framework intended by our nation’s founders and defend our state from further infringement by the federal government.”

States line up to challenge health care overhaul

I am VERY proud of Texas! Texans WILL do the right thing, trust me on that!

I had communication with Greg Abbott’s people last night, with Rick Perry’s people too. I sent a message to my Texas State Senator, Dr. Bob Deuell, and I sent a message to my Texas State Congressman, Joe Driver. I called for Texas to take a stand and join in this fight!

Voila! We had action announced late last night and the MSM is all over it today! 8-)

That is how it’s supposed to work!

Here’s how it’s NOT supposed to work. The most recent poll, by CNN, and we ALL know that CNN will always lean a bit to the left in their count, anyway, CNN says this:

As you may know, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate are trying to pass final legislation that would make major changes in the country’s health care system. Based on what you have read or heard about that legislation, do you generally favor it or generally oppose it?

Mar 19-21 2010 - Favor 39%, Oppose 59%, No opinion 2% SOURCE

So, if the majority of Americans are against this travesty, WHY did the Congress of the United States pass it? 59% of Americans? If CNN is willing to admit to that high a number, I have to wonder, just how high the numbers really were and what was discounted?

Other states planning to challenge the bill were Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Utah and Washington.

Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning said the measure “tramples on individual liberty and dumps on the states the burden of an unfunded mandate that taxpayers cannot afford.”

The best argument I can present regarding WHY this debacle should NOT have been passed, and why it should be repealed as soon as possible is, the numbers that are presented by CNN itself, and how those numbers point out the fact that America doesn’t want this ObamaCare debacle foisted off on them, not the majority of America.

Barack Hussein Obama shot his know nothing mouth off when he said, “We proved that this government – a government of the people and by the people – still works for the people.”

For a supposed constitutional lawyer, Barack Hussein Obama sure is dumb. Congress is not in place to vote THEIR will on We, The People! Congress is there to vote OUR will into law. The will of the people. It’s time to teach them a lesson in basic civics and government I believe. It’s pretty obvious that the Congress of this nation has NO idea how government is supposed to work!

Bruning, a Republican, is president of the National Association of Attorneys General. His statement did not explain why he believes the bill is unconstitutional. But other attorneys general have said it violates state sovereignty by mandating that all Americans have some form of health insurance.

I would suggest that every concerned party in this nation contact their Attorney General, and if nothing else, offer support for this move by them and other Attorney’s General. The states are going to have to take charge and set the federal government back on the straight and narrow.

And before anyone starts with the “It’s a waste of time to contact MY AG, he/she is a flaming libber”, ask yourself this, WHY is that particular individual YOUR Attorney General? And why would you live in a state that would elect such a miserable cretin? :?

It’s all about credibility my friends. And it is OUR responsibility to not only expect, but to have, the very best government that has ever served.

Sadly, we are a long ways from that government, but now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

You never thought you’d actually see a time or place that you could use that line in an a real sentence did you? :P

November 2010 the first shot will be fired. The Democrats that followed Obmamao off the cliff will be needing the unemployment benefits that they passed. The true Bi-Partisan vote was a NO vote. The demorats feel that they can run on a platform of “The republicans want to take away your government grants”….YEP that’s exactly what I want to do. I want the liberpuke crack whore money sapping Obama supporter to get off their ass and get a job and pay their own way. I want these low life, burrito eatin, fence crawling under invaders to get their ass back home and come in through the front door…Silly Me I want AMERICANS to be AMERICANS and work hard, play hard and be free…I want Americans to have LESS government intrusion into our lives and I want Americans to keep more of what they earn. Yep I’m an evil rightwing guy…Fk em feed em lead.

  2. PatriotUSA says:

My state, Oregon(the MOST progressive, regressive state in the Union) will not be joining this suit. I find it sad that only Greg Walden from my state stood up and said NO to this piece of crap legislation. The democrats who oppose abortion were bought off by a cheap, executive order signed by the mullah obamaham, the first MUSLIM, islamist POTUS.
That is how easily and stupidly these ‘conservative democrats’(no such thing!!) were bought off. An executive order can be turned over quite easily. Abortion will still paid for by our taxes. This is far from over, folks. Stand tall and stand up. Our country needs us in more ways than ever before. Do not let the demosocialistacrats steal this country and turn it into a European candy ass country.

  3. Vigilante says:

Robert has the right attitude. I can’t hardly wait till November.
Old purple lips and pisslosi will do their damdest to distract us away from HC till then. I got news for their asses. I am curios as what is going to happen when the states all file a suit against him and the SCOTUS rules that it is unconstitutional.Chief justice Roberts has a bone to pick with that bastard anyway and may decide it’s time for a payback, for publicly chastising them at the state of the union. That’s exactly what he needs to knock him and his smug ass off his high horse.

  4. Ron Russell says:

I learned to type using “now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country”. Its always stuck with me and yes, you are right that time as come and many will answer the call. I figured Texas would help lead the way in this epic struggle. I haven’t hear much from the leaders here in Mississippi, but I suspect they will follow states like Texas , Virginia and others. No one can afford this mess that’s being forced on us. If it stands brace yourself for a national sales tax next year, this will be Obama’s plan. We must take back one house of Congress to stop this madman, a madman who hates our America and dreams of a socialist Utopia.

The crazy thing is after we vote out all those assholes the could care less about being unemployed…after all…they will get almost all their salary each year for the rest of their life. Nothing like a ‘ Platinum Parachute ‘ to save your ass and way of life….after only 2 terms in office. I wish I had a retirement plan half as good as theirs.

I can see it now….some nut out there is going to go ‘Postal’ after he starts having to pay those unreasonable taxes….then gets sorry health care to boot.

Well…for you folks in Washington, DC that are spying on us…tell your bosses to live it up now…for the END is near.

  7. Bull says:

Alabama welcomes Texas to the fight!

I haven’t heard the news this evening yet, but I believe I heard that now the MAJORITY of the fifty States are fighting this travesty. Makes one wonder, doesn’t it? Just how idiotic are these politicians? Just how idiotic are the American people that actually support this crap?

My family owns and operates a non-profit exotic animal rescue. To date we have NEVER once used our tax exempt status on ANY item save specifically for the rescue. Even then we often just pay the tax rather than bother. Grants? God knows we could use them - and we qualify for many - but why the hell would we want money with Federal strings attached? We have never accepted a penny in government grants from either the Feds or the State/Local nut-jobs.

We are a family of eight. Our income is far below the poverty line. Moreover, I am disabled. Yet we manage to pay our mortgage, put our kids through school, keep our bills paid on time, keep food on the table (I could stand to lose some weight!), AND maintain anywhere from 15 to 40 exotic animals at any given time. All with ABSOLUTELY NO HELP from any one!

If we can do it, so can all of the lay-abouts in this Nation!

If this continues, I expect grumblings of secession to begin to grow again soon. The Bull & his Herd will be the first on the battle lines!

  8. HoosierArmyMom says:

And why would you live in a state that would elect such a miserable cretin?

Well, if the question is in regard to Illinois, that state is run by nothing but corrupt, miserable cretins! :-D

Indiana joined in the list when it was at 38… but a call to the AG might help me reap more info. I was told that anyone can sue if they are imperiled by this law. I have no insurance since I’ve been unemployed for over a year… and wouldn’t have the money to purchase such insurance… so I’m thinking there are many like me so it smells like a “Class Action” against Obozo and our Socialist government to me! Anyway, I do intend to check it out!!! :-) There is nothing I’d like better than to sue the whole bunch of morons!!!

  9. HoosierArmyMom says:

Hey Bull I salute you and your family for doing a great work and managing without help. That is awesome and many could learn from that example.

  10. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

“We proved that this government – a government of the people and by the people – still works for the people.”

    Obaka LIED. HE LIED.

For those of you just tuned in: BARACK OBAKA LIED.

If you still haven’t “gotten” it: OBAKA LIED. HE LIED HE LIED.

He already said he’s not interested in PROCESS. And THIS from an alleged “Constitutional scholar and teacher for over 10 years.”

    Bull-SHIT!

  11. Mr Pink Eyes says:

States are beginning to line up against this bill- sadly my state has not- this is not over yet. The battle has just begun.

  12. minuteman26 says:

Hope the SCOTUS is willing to hear these suits in timely manner. And BZ is correct OBAKA LIED.

  13. HoosierArmyMom says:

As far as I can tell BZ, Obozo lies every time his lips move…

Liar, Liar… Obozo’s pants are on fire!!!! :-)

  14. Texasperated says:

    @Texasfred,

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that our state senator, DR Bob Duell is foursquare AGAINST this bill and I’m sure he will vote along with the TCC (Texas Conservative Caucus) to nullify the bill in Texas.
