Gunmen Shoot, Kill Iraqi Official in Baghdad

BAGHDAD — Two carloads of gunmen ambushed a top aide to Iraq’s Finance Ministry on Sunday in Baghdad, killing him and his driver, police said. The two were among 15 people killed or found dead in Iraq.

The Finance Ministry had no immediate comment about the attack on Qutaiba Badir al-Din Mohammed, a Sunni adviser to Iraq’s finance minister.

Violence claimed the lives of 10 Iraqis in Diyala, the troubled province northeast of Baghdad. Police said the victims included an Iraqi soldier, a policeman and an 8-year-old child, all killed separately.

The soldier died when gunmen attacked his patrol in Khalis, a mostly Shiite town 50 miles north of the capital, police said. Three other soldiers were wounded in the attack, they said.

The child died after seven mortar rounds landed on a residential area in the same town at sunrise, police said. A woman was also wounded by the barrage. And the policeman was killed in a drive-by shooting in nearby Muqdadiyah, 60 miles north of Baghdad, police said.

If you haven’t noticed, this story is from FOX News, so, I don’t want to be getting the nasty emails about MSM sources such as AP, Reuters, USA Today and so forth, and their left leaning prejudice concerning Iraq, this is from FOX News, the darling of the right, fair and balanced, a beacon of truth, the only reliable news source available to Conservatives today, FOX News, the gospel of news reporting, so, I am guessing that this source should satisfy all of you on the right and perhaps it won’t drive the Bush Bots over the edge as they look for new ways to call me a libber…

Iraq is never going to have a fully peaceful environment, it won’t happen, it can’t happen, not as long as there are militant Muslims that feel they must enforce their agenda with a bombing or drive-by murders, there may not be as many bombings and drive-by shootings as in days past, and that’s a good thing, less American troops being killed is ALWAYS a good thing, but Iraq will continue to be plagued by acts such as this, as will Afghanistan, Blast Targets Afghan Lawmakers; 28 Dead, it’s the nature of the beast and there’s not too much we can do about it as long as there are radical Mullahs that preach death and destruction as a means to THEIR end and there are weak minds willing to listen TO them and carry out these vile acts of cowardice…

The enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan and many other parts of the world IS radical Islam, I have written this before and I have made no retreat from my position either, IF Islam truly is the religion of peace, as they claim it to be, then Muslims are going to have to stand and put an end to this violence themselves, there is no other way that it will, or can end, and if Muslims aren’t inclined to end this themselves, then they will have to live with the consequences brought against them because of the actions of others…

And the biggest fear we have at this moment is the possibility that Pakistan may well fall into the hands of Islam, Pakistan is a nuclear power and the very last thing this world needs is nukes in the hands of avowed terrorists, and that is exactly what’s going to happen if Pakistan falls…

Why do you think it’s been so quiet in Iraq lately?? The bad guys are grouping up and getting ready to go to work in Pakistan, bet on it…
