Official: 72 found dead in Mexico may be migrants

MEXICO CITY – A survivor has told police that 72 people found dead at a ranch near the Mexican border with Texas were migrants kidnapped by an armed group, a federal official said Wednesday.

The bodies of 58 men and 14 women were discovered Tuesday when Marines manning a checkpoint on a highway in the northern state of Tamaulipas were approached by a wounded man who said he had been attacked by gang gunmen at a nearby ranch.

A federal official said that man had identified himself an illegal migrant. The man said he and other migrants had been kidnapped by an armed group and taken to the ranch in San Fernando, a town about 100 miles (160 kilometers) south of Brownsville, Texas, according to the federal official, who had access to the investigation. He spoke on condition of anonymity because the was not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

The official said police believe the migrants were mostly from Central America — a population that has been increasingly targeted by drug gangs who demand money from U.S.-bound foreigners or who kidnap them to claim ransoms from relatives in the United States or their home countries.

It’s all about perception.

Perception – noun
1. the act or faculty of apprehending by means of the senses or of the mind; cognition; understanding.
2. immediate or intuitive recognition or appreciation, as of moral, psychological, or aesthetic qualities; insight; intuition; discernment: an artist of rare perception.
3. the result or product of perceiving, as distinguished from the act of perceiving; percept.
4. Psychology . a single unified awareness derived from sensory processes while a stimulus is present.
5. Law . the taking into possession of rents, crops, profits, etc.

It’s ALL in how you look at it! :P

How many times have we heard those that support and defend the ILLEGALS that are flooding this nation and helping to further tank our economy say, “But they’re only seeking jobs and a new homeland. They only want to do the jobs that Americans won’t do.”

Well, it looks like the cartels are, in a ’roundabout way’, actually DOING the job that Americans won’t do. They are keeping a great many potential ILLEGALS out of the USA.

I can almost hear the cries of racist and bigot coming from Long Beach…

Investigators have not determined who was behind the massacre, but the federal official noted that the area is controlled by the Zetas drug cartel, which has diversified into kidnapping migrants.

I would say that Los Zetas would be an excellent place to start looking for suspects.

The scale of the massacre of migrants appeared to be unprecedented even by the gruesome standards of Mexican drug cartels.

Obviously, the cartels are stepping up their efforts to control their territory and instill fear in ANY that dare to cross paths with them. I include the Mexican government in that too. The cartels want the government to fear them, and indeed, I believe they do.

The newspaper Reforma, citing a police report, said that that the migrants were trying to reach the U.S. border and were killed when they refused to pay extortion fees demanded by the armed group. Reforma said the survivor was from Ecuador. The federal officials could not immediately confirm those details.

I don’t suppose it matters where they are from, they were headed to the USA, and were, pardon the pun, dead set on entering OUR nation illegally.

The Navy said it dispatched aircraft to check out the man’s report and when the gunmen saw the marines, they opened fire and tried to flee in a convoy of vehicles. One marine and three of the suspects were killed in the shootout.

Navy personnel seized 21 assault rifles, shotguns and rifles, and detained a minor.

Wow, those Mexican Marines are some efficient and BAD Dudes huh? They killed three suspects and detained a minor? That’s the best the Mexican Marines could do?

Mexico’s drug violence has surged since President Felipe Calderon dispatched soldiers and federal police to root out drug traffickers from their strongholds in northern Mexico and along the Pacific coast.

More than 28,000 people have been killed in drug-gang violence since the offensive began.

As long as the deaths and violence are on the MEXICAN side of the border, I’m really not concerned in the least. Sadly, it’s not going to remain that way much longer.

Here is a small sample of cartel violence that a simple 1 minute search produced;

Mexican and U.S. authorities were “secretly scrambling? last month to thwart an alleged plot by a Mexican drug cartel to blow up a Texas dam and unleash billions of gallons of water along the U.S.-Mexico border, the Houston Chronicle reported. SOURCE

It’s only a matter of time America. These acts of mass murder, despicable and gross acts of evil and violence will be coming to a city or town near you if you live in a border state.

Soon, these acts will spread across the nation, much as it has in Mexico. That, my friends, is the nature of the beast.

We Americans face 2 beasts that want to destroy a free America, drug cartels and Islam. It’s only a matter of time until we fight them in the streets. We fight or we die.

That’s as simple as it can be said!

Some folks believe if we just let them do what they want they will love us and support us and never do anything other than work hard and become Americans…BULLSHIT!

We are hate mongers, we are rednecks, we are bog dwelling hicks for believing that you need to EARN your way in here, you need to do it the right way and you will be welcomed. SHOCKER!

I wish these supporters of the illegal crew would have the courage of their conviction and adopt them…How about leaving your doors open because the illegals will just come in a clean your house and cut your grass, they just want to work hard ya know….

I wish we had some leadership in DC, perhaps a person that cared more about the country and it LEGAL citizens than his PC appeasers, could unfuck this nation.

72 found dead in Mexico may be migrantsďż˝?

Maybe the minute men are starting to do what should have been done a LONG time ago.!!!!

    Robert says:

“I wish we had some leadership in DC, perhaps a person that cared more about the country and it LEGAL citizens than his PC appeasers, could unfuck this nation.”

That is very wishful thinking Robert. If we can just educate these “what’s in it for me” assholes that keep voting this vermin into office, then maybe we can accomplish this dream of reality. It just seems no matter what, we always get some asshat that don’t have any balls to really get tough for America and Americans. Where the hell is Teddy Roosevelt when we need him? Joe Arpaio for POTUS!!! (at least head of Homeland Security) Neapolitan is what happens to ANY office when you put a Hispanic dyke in charge.

    Was that a racist remark????

Why I believe it was. If anybody has a whine about it give me your address and I’ll send you a quarter and you can call somebody who gives a fu*k.

Anyone who thinks all the killing will stop at the border is a nutjob… but we are talking about libbers and their Kumbayah shill aren’t we. Please forgive the use of nutjob and libber in the same sentence. They are indeed synonymous.

Great post Fred. I hope the drug cartels continue to make it “dangerous” to jump the border illegally. It’s sure to help more than this worthless libber government! I’ll pray God helps keep the citizens of Texas and Arizona safe and their powder dry!
