Police Officers FIRED for being TEA Party Members

Police Officers FIRED for being TEA Party Members

Today I received a plea for help from the Tawakoni Area TEA Party. They have a Mayor that is out of control and hates the TEA Party too. He has fired 2 long time officers for no other apparent reason than the simple fact that they belong to the local TEA Party chapter.

West Tawakoni is a small town in East Texas, they don’t have a lot of TEA Party members and I am not sure how well connected they are to the media , but I know how well connected I am.

EDIT by TexasFred — Oct. 27 @ 10:30AM: I guess The Tawakoni Area TEA Party must not be worth the time or effort of the Dallas TEA Party. Small potatoes to a powerful group like them I guess. I contacted one of their ‘founders’ yesterday and asked for help from their very large, and supposedly powerful group and I have heard nothing back from them. So much for TEA Party loyalty and the idea of working together to get things done.

This has been sent to Drudge, Breitbart, FOX and Friends, several other FOX News on air personalities and several of the local media here in the Dallas area, but I can’t stress this enough, the MEDIA needs to get ALL OVER this one. If you have ANY contacts in the media, send this to them.

The media, and most of Conservative America got their knickers in a twist over Juan Williams being fired by NPR, a case that was, in MY opinion, a libber reaping what he had sown. If Conservative America can get involved and fully outraged over that, what will their reaction to this be?

I sincerely hope it’s not one of apathy.

Please, feel free to forward this to your email list and to ALL media that you may have contact with! It is that important!

From Lake Tawakoni Area TEA Party News

On October 20, 2010 Police Chief Jack Schultz was put on 10 days unpaid suspension at which time he will be terminated. This is a man that has served this city for twenty years and acts as a fatherly figure to his community while keeping us safe.

Sergeant John Becket has Proudly & Bravely served his community for over nine years and operates as a protector and referee of the law instead of a small town speed trap cop as the mayor has publicly announced he wants in he new police department.

These are the sole actions of Mayor Pete Yoho and are being done against the will of the majority of the city council.

A coup d’état ( or /ku de.ta/) or coup for short (French for overthrow of the state), is the sudden unconstitutional deposition of a government, usually by a small government’s surrender; or the acquiescence of the populace.

Sorry but WE THE PEOPLE do not ACQUIESCE !!! SOURCE

From Stormin’ Norman:

Re-Call Time For Mayor Yoho…run him out of town!

Mayor Pete Yoho has to go! The citizens of Lake Tawakoni have the right to re-call the mayor and fire him. They can do this at any time they see fit and apparently the time is fit! This has got to be the most un-American action taken by any mayor in the history of the country. Did the mayor of Chicago get rid of Barack Obama as a community organizer for Obama’s ties to the Communist Party USA? You just don’t fire someone for their political party affiliation…Oh, but we’re going to do that on November 2nd !!! ~ Norman E. Hooben

From Texas TEA Parties:

Police Chief Suspended and Police Officer terminated for affiliation with Tea Party-West Tawakoni, TX

Friday, October 22nd, 2010
Subject: City Council Meeting in Tawakoni October 26, 2010
ATTENTION ALL TEA PARTY MEMBERS

As most of you all know Johnny Beckett was terminated as an Police officer in West Tawakoni Wednesday Oct 20th and Chief Jack Schultz on Suspension by the Mayor of West Tawakoni Pete Yoho. The main reason for this action is their affiliation with the Tea Party. During last Tuesday nights meeting the Mayor publicly slandered the LTATP, Jack Schultz, Johnny Beckett, Candy Schultz, Bill Creed, Ed Watson, Carol Soloman, Laura Beckett, and my self. We need all members of the Tea Party to be at the next meeting at city hall Tue, Oct 26th at p.m.. These men are great officers and deserve all of our support. Chief Schultz has been on the police force for many many years and he also served as a volunteer fireman when ever needed. Help is needed. SOURCE

From American and Proud:

Police Chief and Sgt Fired for Tea Party Activities?
Posted on October 26, 2010 by Robert

From TexasFred by way of Lake Tawakoni Area News

This, if true is disgusting. Evidently these men were fired because of their tea party affiliations. They were exercising their 1st amendment rights to assemble and to speak their mind. They felt drawn to the Tea Party patriots and an idiot mayor decided they had to go for their actions? Fire up the torches boys we got a target in Lake Tawakoni!

Now it’s time for ACTION!

TexasFred I meant no insult against andy Texans. Maybe I phrased this wrong.

I meant the PC things that have been stuffed in our faces for the last 20 years and the conduct of the MSM.

Just a quick question. I am in W Tawakoni quite a bit in my travels. Could it be that someone is finally tring to shut down the illegal gambling parlors?

Texasperated — It makes me wonder… Do you remember the happenings up in McNairy County Tennessee and Sheriff Buford Pusser? That immediately crossed my mind…

And where my mother is from in Louisiana, it was a *dry* Parish, one of the few in Louisiana to be so, and I remember well the battles to put bootleggers out of business and the *officials* that fought to keep them in place because of pay offs…

Small town, rural County, I wouldn’t be surprised at anything…

Fred, I think you have the right idea in giving this travesty as much publicity as possible. National attention given to this communities problem might help keep the Mayor somewhat in check until the voters can determine if they care to rectify things with a recall election. Perhaps the terminations might even be reversed.

Well, I gotta tell you, if that ain’t an insult, it’s pretty damned close Hoss.

    Fred,

Maybe the TEA party needs to present Jack Schultz with a baseball bat (ref to Buford Pusser).

For years there has been rumors about the drug activity in West Tawakoni and how the drug dealers are not dealt with. Some suggest that there are payoffs that go on there. Other just say the power that be just don’t care to deal with it. I wonder if the tea party connection is in fact the issue or if the Mayor is getting pressure from the community to get a chief that will clean up the drugs. I would hate to see anyone get fired over being connected to a Tea Party, but I would hate it just as bad if that someone was using the Tea Party connection to draw attention away from other issues for termination.

  13. comment number 13 by: TexasFred

TeaPartyPatriot — I have heard some glowing testimonials regarding the officers, from Tawakoni residents and TEA Party folks…

Unless these guys have most of the community fooled, I don’t think there’s going to be a conflict on that end, at least, I hope not…

To the Jimmy Z fans that will be trolling by, all 10 or 12 of you: Yes, your hero was banned from this site today, but NOT for the reasons HE is going to feed you, and NOT for what he tried to post here today…

Actually, Jimmy Z was probably correct in what he wanted to post, but here’s the deal, I detest the guy, and even if he PAID ME, he will NEVER make a comment on this blog, it’s personal…

This goes back a long ways with Jimmy Z and me, back to the days before *A Newt One* ran him off, back several years ago when I made a comment disagreeing with George W. Bush and the way we were conducting ourselves in Iraq. For that disagreement with the POTUS and his handling of Iraq, Jimmy Z tried to label me a leftist troll, on a number of occasions…

I instantly became a leftist troll because I wouldn’t give George W. Bush the same virtual blowjob that Jimmy Z and Company were giving…

After that, I cut any and all ties to the guy and ANY site that did associate themselves with him…

Then Jimmy Z shows up here, uninvited, unwanted, and he got his panties in a wad because mean Ol TexasFred banned him… Then Jimmy Z starts sending emails crying because I wasn’t allowing his voice of truth and reason to speak (clutter) on my blog…

Too bad huh, that 1st Amendment thing? MY 1st Amendment, not his, not the one that he doesn’t have here… MORON…

So, take it for what it’s worth, and believe what you will, if you’re a Jimmy Z fan, I really don’t give a damn WHAT you think, but someone had to open your eyes about Jimmy Z and the kind of person he really is…

  16. comment number 16 by: Robert

Jimmy Z? WOW a blast from the past. I think I remember the guy and his buddy Jimmy Stach. Stach is that sawed off, big mouth idiot I met in DC.

I heard the two of them had a falling out? I wonder if they are back together?

  17. comment number 17 by: TexasFred

Robert — A cross country, long distance BFF romance maybe??

Damn, I had forgotten about Jimmy Z until today, but it didn’t take a lot for ALL the details to come back…

    Maybe he’s a *secret fan*, you know?? A man crush… :P

Mayor of West Tawakoni Pete Yoho must indeed be a Yo Ho Progressive Elitist - not that the people know this, it time to get him out of office. Fortunately, Texas doesn’t have as many as we do.

  19. comment number 19 by: Jeanetta

I’m just chiming in from Medford, Oregon. Sorry to hear about your fine officers gettin’ the can tied to them. That’s absolutely wrong on so many levels. Does this Mayor Yayhoo have much longer to go in his term?? Is he close to getting voted out? Just wondering. I feel for you guys having to put up with him for long. He must have done quite a song and dance to get elected (in other words, he must have managed to hide his spots until it was too late.) I’m going to splash this news around my Facebook page and let others know. It could spread pretty good from there. We’ve got a real lively patriot group on there. Best wishes in your fight.

I’ve got that “nagging” feeling again Fred. I think this yahoo mayor has been getting drunk on TOOOO much Kool Aid coming out of “the hole” and it’s going to be up to the citizens to end his self centered opinions.

  21. comment number 21 by: Bloviating Zeppelin

Fred, correct me if I’m wrong, but Texas is a “right to work” state, is it not? Meaning, it doesn’t take much to make a case for firing. Therefore, IF that’s true, then it would seem to be that the two officers, the Chief and the other, can be and are in fact summarily fired UNLESS there can be placed such public pressure that the mayor may have no resort but to re-instate.

This appears to be the instance where public groundswell may actually potentially reverse a decision such as this. Certainly the officers will receive no help whatsoever from the agency itself or whatever they may have in the form of an “association” or the city government itself.

  22. comment number 22 by: TexasFred

BZ — According to all Law Enforcement people I have talked to, there’s no issue with being an officer and a TEA Party member, as long as they don’t do anything on duty, in uniform or in City, County or State vehicle.

This is a case where there may be some *personalities* coming into play…

I have some impeccable sources in Law Enforcement and this is what I am being told: “There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye.”

I don’t know if any of us have the full story, I’m not making accusations, just saying, but 2 Texas DPS Rangers don’t come out for several hours for no reason…

I am also being told that there may, I repeat, MAY be some criminal elements involved, illegal booze and gambling concerns… And it is being whispered that these concerns may be being protected by someone in W. Tawakoni…

I am told that these may be the REAL issues and the *players* are pointing in several different directions in order to deflect attention from the matter…

All of that is opinion and speculation, and is in no way an accusation…

Also, W. Tawakoni is a very small town and has a very small PD, there is no union, no contract and it’s a strong Mayor/Council form of city government.. The PD, and I am assuming ALL city employees, are at the mercy of the Mayor and his whims… Right or wrong..

  23. comment number 23 by: RetiredFireCaptain

Hopefully the officers documented the Mayor’s statements and the names of witnesses. The Mayor violated the civil rights of these folks. It is time for an attorney to belly up to represent them. It is not just for them it is for all God fearing Americans. Enough of this progressive crap. The mayor probably doesn’t even know he is a Progressive/Socialist. My prayers are with them. I will bring this to the attention of a young Marine Captain who is just completing his law degree and is moving to Texas.

  24. comment number 24 by: stewart14

I think it’s funny how all the rumors are flying around in this small town. I do know there has been NO illegal gambling and illegal boozing that actually is the funnest thing I have heard in this. Being fired was the reason for them getting fired and suspended which was on there on time and off duty. They never talked bout the city politics if there was any brought up they walked away. The chief was also suspended for not reprimanding his guys for not righting enough tickets now tell me it’s illegal to put a quota on tickets. Theses two guys are wonderful men and do there job by the law. This is all because we all fought to save the police department this is his way of retaliation. Chief Jack Schultz is one of the best men I know and Sgt Beckett is one also they did alot for the community and foe the citizens of West Tawakoni

  25. comment number 25 by: stewart14

And actually on the comment about illegal game rooms in West Tawakoni have Been shut down for 6 months or so now and the drugs are not as bad in Tawakoni as they used to be because they cracked down on the drug dealers

  26. comment number 26 by: TexasFred

For ANY that missed it: “All of that is opinion and speculation, and is in no way an accusation…”

  27. comment number 27 by: Texasperated

    Stewart14,

First, I’m the one who made the comment on the illegal game rooms and my suggestion was that the chief had been involved in closing them down and this is by way of retaliation. I will watch to see if they reopen. As of a year ago they would close them down one place and they would pop up elsewhere. I’m not saying that I know for certain that they have popped back up YET, but it will be interesting to watch and see what happens.

Second, my suggestion was not intended to say that Mayor Yoho did not give one reason and actually have a different agenda. That is precisely what I think is going on.

As far as writing tickets is concerned, I don’t see that much speeding through the town (speed limit is 50 all the way through). However, I do see drivers pulled over for reckless (intoxicated???) driving pretty regularly.

But, as I wrote earlier I am not a resident of Tawakoni, but a frequent visitor. If you are a resident of West T, I’ll simply take your word for it that things have been cleaned up.

    Keep your powder dry.

Texasperated — Your speculations were pretty much confirmed, and MORE, by my contacts… There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye, and still, I am not sure who has the correct line on it…

I have been told that corruption has been the order of the day, my sources are *in the know* but WILL remain anonymous…

That is why I have withdrawn to the sidelines to wait and watch, if criminal charges are brought, it might be interesting to see WHO is charged and what the official counter charges are…
