Obama endorsements don’t seem to help Democrats

WASHINGTON (AP) - Voters rejected one of President Barack Obama’s hand-picked candidates and forced another into a runoff, the latest sign that his political capital is slipping beneath a wave of anti-establishment anger.

Sen. Arlen Specter became the fourth Democrat in seven months to lose a high-profile race despite the president’s active involvement, raising doubts about Obama’s ability to help fellow Democrats in this November’s elections.

The first three candidates fell to Republicans. But Specter’s loss Tuesday to Rep. Joe Sestak in Pennsylvania’s Democratic senatorial primary cast doubts on Obama’s influence and popularity even within his own party - and in a battleground state, no less.

Of course, it’s possible that Democrats will fare better than expected this fall. And there’s only so much that any president can do to help other candidates, especially in a non-presidential election year.

I believe it’s worth noting, not ALL Democrats are stupid. All libbers are disgusting basement dwellers that drink gallons of libber punch, but not ALL Democrats are libbers.

Barack Hussein Obama isn’t a Democrat, he’s a libber. The same can be said for most, if not ALL of his cabinet. Libbers to the core. But I’m old enough to remember when being a Democrat was a good thing, well, at least it wasn’t pure evil.

Many of today’s Conservatives are old school Dems that became disgusted with the Democratic Party as it took a hard left turn and became the party that gave us the likes of Teddy Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, John Kerry, Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama.

Many folks that were those old school Dems became Reagan Conservatives as time went by, we went on to vote for the Republican ticket simply because it was what we once were, Americans that had the best interest of this nation at heart.

Then came the Bush 41 presidency. READ MY LIPS.

Bush 41 gave us over to the likes of Bill and Hillary Clinton. The gift that just keeps on giving.

So, what does America do, why we elect another One World Government president, in the person of Bush 43.

Now given the possibilities offered by Bush 43′s opponents, Bush 43 didn’t look nearly as bad as he actually was. Let’s face facts, up next to Al Gore and John F’n Kerry, Bush 43 was a better choice and quite appealing to many, but Bush 43, like many of his predecessors, was a One World Government kind of guy, much like his father and grandfather before him.

Bush 43 made a huge push for AMNESTY for ILLEGALS during his last term in office.

Bush 43 took us into uncharted waters in The War on Terror. He took us to Afghanistan, a place we really needed to go. He didn’t take us into Saudi Arabia, a place we should have gone. He took us into Iraq, and only God knows the real reasons why.

Bush 43, through his actions, opened the door for the libbers to walk in and take this nation over almost at will.

The RNC, through their inept ability to read the opinions and wishes of this nation, offered up John McCain (RINO) and Sarah Palin (RINO) against a so-called Democratic ticket that was not much more than a dog and pony, smoke and mirrors stage act.

We now have a president that can’t string 3 sentences together unless he has a teleprompter leading the way. We have a president that refuses to quash ALL rumors that he is not a U.S. citizen. We have a president that bows, by God BOWS to foreign leaders. We have a president that has a knack of insulting our real allies.

We have a president that presents at least as much danger to the citizens of this nation as do our enemies, foreign enemies. We have a president that isn’t a Dem, he’s an ultra liberal Socialist. The policies of Barack Hussein Obama, coupled with the policies of most, if not ALL of his predecessors over the last 50 or so years, is rapidly bringing this nation to it’s knees.

It’s time to look past the political labels. It’s time to look past the party politics and games. It’s time for Americans, ALL Americans, to look at what’s best for this nation and vote Conservative candidates into office. Not Dems, not Republicans, but CONSERVATIVE, America 1st Americans that only care about what’s right and good, and who only seek to rebuild America and restore her to the position of greatness She once held!

Party labels don’t tell us what’s in the candidates heart. Their actions, a demonstration of what they believe, based on what they are doing, that’s where we look. We don’t accept a community organizer that has never held a REAL job, can’t produce a lot of college records and either can’t, or won’t, produce a birth certificate, as our President.

We, The People, either demand, and get, the very best people for the job or we, as a nation, are doomed. It is OUR duty as Americans and voters to hold our politicians feet to the fire and we have not been doing our job.

GOP sweep: Big governor victories in Virginia, NJ

WASHINGTON (AP) - Independents who swept Barack Obama to a historic 2008 victory broke big for Republicans on Tuesday as the GOP wrested political control from Democrats in Virginia and New Jersey, a troubling sign for the president and his party heading into an important midterm election year.

Conservative Republican Bob McDonnell’s victory in the Virginia governor’s race over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds and moderate Republican Chris Christie’s ouster of unpopular New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine was a double-barreled triumph for a party looking to rebuild after being booted from power in national elections in 2006 and 2008.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Maine voters rejected a state law that would allow same-sex couples to wed. If supporters had prevailed, it would have marked the first time that the electorate in any state endorsed gay marriage.

And Democrat Bill Owens captured a GOP-held vacant 23rd Congressional District seat in New York in a race that highlighted fissures in the Republican Party and illustrated hurdles the GOP could face in capitalizing on any voter discontent with Obama and Democrats next fall.

I want to congratulate ALL of the Republican winners from yesterdays election. I hope ALL of you are the Conservatives we need to have in positions of power in this nation. If not, 4 years is ALL you get.

Conservatives all over America are happy about the message that this election sent. I am pretty happy too, but I am not ecstatic. There is a lot of work that still needs to be done. Yesterday was primarily a battle of 2 Governors races, and as important as it is to have Republican Governors, it’s even more important that those Governors are Conservatives that are going to take care of the people and their state and not toe some specific party line. Especially when that party line has little, if anything to do with conservatism.

In other words, NO MORE RINOs.

Folks, I don’t mean to be a killjoy here, but this battle is just beginning, and as one of my great comment makers said in the thread just below this one, he was reminded of Sir Winston Churchill’s great quote: “This is not the end, it is not the beginning of the end, but it is the end of the beginning.?

I want to congratulate the voters of Maine for rejecting a state law that would allow same-sex couples to wed. I was NOT sure that one was going to fly given the choices of Senators that Mainers exhibit. I honestly wasn’t sure that the people of Maine had a Conservative bone among them.

As important as the Governor wins in New Jersey and Virginia were, the real battle will come when we have congressional and senatorial elections. The defeat of Doug Hoffman for the New York seat was a loss for ALL Conservatives. I hope it’s not indicative of the political climate of New York, but I’m afraid it is. Look at New York City, they re-elected Michael Bloomberg to a 3rd term as Mayor. Bloomberg is an anti-gun RINO moonbat that is as libber as it gets. I once thought it was just NYC, now I have doubts regarding conservatism in upstate New York as well.

If these victories in Virginia and New Jersey are to have ANY real meaning, the Conservative wave will have to sweep through this nation like a tsunami. We have to have true Conservatives running for office everywhere. NO MORE RINOs! We can’t accept another RINO, and if that’s all the GOP has to offer, then Conservatives have to reject that offering and reject the GOP and RNC.
