Fear dominates life in Mexico’s deadliest city

Fear dominates life in Mexico’s deadliest city

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) - “Not one person murdered yesterday,” Ciudad Juarez’s leading newspaper proclaimed in a banner headline. It was big news in this border city, ground zero in the drug war - the first time in 10 months that a day had passed without a killing.

But by the end of that day, Oct. 30, nine more people were riddled with bullets.

Violent death is a part of life in Ciudad Juarez, a seedy, dust-cloaked metropolis on the banks of the Rio Grande. Bloodied bodies hang from overpasses, and children walking to school stumble across hit men filling targets with lead.

While there’s no definitive comparison of murder rates in cities around the world, there’s no question Ciudad Juarez is now among the deadliest. It has had about 2,250 killings this year, a rate of 173 per 100,000 residents. That compares with 37 in Baltimore, the deadliest U.S. city with a population of more than 500,000.

Fear dominates life in Mexico’s deadliest city

Yesterday, December 5th, there was a vicious rumor offered up by a person that shall remain unnamed. He told one of my friends to be VERY careful in dealing with me because I am a racist that has, in the past, called for the deaths of ALL that cross our borders illegally.

He went on to tell my friend that he thought I had *mellowed* since I had stopped ranting about ILLEGAL immigration and the INVADERS that are destroying our nation.

He is wrong!

I have NOT mellowed, in ANY way. I just grew tired of ranting about something that a supposed GOP POTUS was ignoring and I knew that there was no sense in wasting my time making posts now that Barack Hussein Obama is temporarily in the Oval Office.

I STILL believe that our borders need to be manned by well armed troops. I STILL believe that any and ALL persons crossing our border at anything other than a LEGAL Port of Entry need to be shot on sight as foreign and hostile INVADERS!

I also said in the past that I don’t give a DAMN about what happens to these invaders when they are wandering around in the heat of the desert southwest. That hasn’t changed either.

And for the record, ILLEGALS are NOT a race, they are a people. How can I be a racist for my beliefs against a people? Wouldn’t that make me a *peopleist*? Just sayin’… :P

You see, I don’t hate any particular RACE of invaders, I am an equal opportunity hater, I hate ALL ILLEGAL invaders, no matter where they come from, no matter their pigmentation, no matter their reasons for coming to this nation. If they are NOT here legally, they are criminals, as such, they need to be punished AS criminals.

Of course we all know that is just not going happen.

There are far too many bleeding heart libbers, and a few FAUX Conservatives, that haven’t got the GUTS to stand and defend this nation. The FAUX Conservatives, better know as RINOs, are as intent on destroying this nation as are the Islamic Jihadists that permeate the fabric of our once great nation.

Reeling Mexico hopes travel deals bring back the tourists

Reeling Mexico hopes travel deals bring back the tourists

During a visit to San Diego in April, Pratik and Priti Chavda thought they’d slip over the border into Tijuana just to do a little shopping, have a quick meal and say they had made it to Mexico. But upon hearing the plan, staffers at their hotel sounded the alarm.

“Swine flu! Drug cartels! Don’t go!” Pratik Chavda, 32, recalls them warning.

Six months later, the Chicago couple have finally made it south of the border, where they’re enjoying a meal of grilled shrimp with a panoramic view of a golden sunset. And they didn’t even have to wait for a table.

What started out as a gangbuster year, with international tourist arrivals up about 6% in the first quarter, came to a screeching halt in late April when Mexico became the first to report an outbreak of the H1N1 virus. The flu scare, coupled with news accounts of gruesome drug-related violence, caused visitors to stay away in droves. From April to June, tourist arrivals plummeted by more than 19% over the previous year.

Reeling Mexico hopes travel deals bring back the tourists

I lived in El Paso many years ago. I did a lot of business on BOTH sides of the border. It was common to cross the border, go to Juarez and have dinner, drinks, do some shopping and so forth. But I’m talking about 25 or 30 years ago. I wouldn’t go to Juarez today for anyone.

I was in Nogales, AZ. about 22 years ago, a business trip, and a friend of mine wanted to go across the border to eat lunch. He claimed that there was a place he knew that had the best Chinese food you’ve ever eaten. He was RIGHT! It was delicious, and cheap too. We have several courses and drinks and spent about $6.00 each.

We were walking back to the border when the gunfire started. The Federales and some drug dealers were engaged in a running machine gun battle and it was coming our way. We broke into a dead run and were less than 50 yards from the border, screaming at the top of our lungs, “U.S. Citizens!” because INS and Border Patrol were in place, waiting for this gun battle to head their way and were in the process of shutting down that particular crossing.

Needless to say, we made it over the border, took cover behind some *Jersey Barriers* that were set up, and we waited. The Federales either caught the guys or killed them, the gun battle never made it that last city block to the border. And that was the last time I ever went to Mexico as a tourist.

It was also about the time I began to develop a serious attitude concerning border security and the HUGE influx of ILLEGALS we were seeing at the time. It was nothing compared to the surge of ILLEGALS today, but even 22 years ago, it was a concern for me. And sadly, nothing has been done, by ANY U.S. president to remedy this situation.

And then there’s this;

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Gunmen killed fifteen people on an isolated ranch in northern Mexico, including a prominent farmworker leader, in the latest grisly attack in an area overrun by drug gangs, local police said on Friday.

Margarito Montes, a well-known organizer of agricultural laborers, was among the bodies found riddled with bullets in trucks in the town of Hornos in southern Sonora, a state bordering the United States, a police spokesman said.

The cause of the crime was unknown but the killings had many of the hallmarks of hits by drug cartels, who often use automatic weapons to murder people in groups to send a message to rivals.

Border Patrol agent wounds man near Mexican border

Border Patrol agent wounds man near Mexican border

SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a U.S. Border Patrol agent shot and wounded a man throwing rocks at agents near the U.S.-Mexico border in the San Diego area.

San Diego police Sgt. Kerry Tom says a group who had crossed to the U.S. side threw rocks at agents Tuesday night. Tom says the agents tried unsuccessfully to disperse the crowd by firing pepper balls.

One man was hit and fled into Mexico. He was found at a hospital and arrested by Mexican authorities. Details on his condition were not available.

A message left with a Border Patrol spokesman Wednesday morning was not returned.

SOURCE:
Border Patrol agent wounds man near Mexican border

Solutions:

Heavier weapons for our Border Patrol Agents.

Continued marksmanship training for our Border Patrol Agents.

More Border Patrol Agents, with heavier weapons.

Did I mention heavier weapons?

Free Ramos and Compean, reinstate them, give THEM heavier weapons and better marksmanship training.

Any Border Patrol Agent that *wounds* an attacker must spend at least 40 hours *on the range* learning better *shot placement* with his heavier weapon.

A *Heavier weapon* would be defined as a handgun, the caliber of which is NO LESS than a .40, preferably even larger, for example, a .41 Magnum, a .44 Magnum, a .45ACP or, for the truly serious Border Patrol Agent, a Desert Eagle .50 or an S&W .500.

Any of these *heavier weapons* would seriously negate the need to report *wounded* attackers and should result in more reports of *dead INVADERS*.

Border patrol agent held at gunpoint

August 6th, 2008 . by TexasFred
Officers fear Mexican military encounters will turn violent

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint Sunday night by members of the Mexican military who had crossed the border into Arizona, but the soldiers returned to Mexico without incident when backup agents responded to assist.

Agents assigned to the Border Patrol station at Ajo, Ariz., said the Mexican soldiers crossed the international border in an isolated area about 100 miles southwest of Tucson and pointed rifles at the agent, who was not identified.

It was unclear what the soldiers were doing in the United States, but U.S. law enforcement authorities have long said that current and former Mexican military personnel have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers.

“Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years,” union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) said on its Web page. “They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of ‘Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States.’

Folks, I am going to say this in the most easily understood way I know how. We are AT WAR along our border with Mexico, I know it, you probably know it, the Border Patrol knows it, everyone in this USA knows it except for the brain-dead left, the FAUX intellectuals that pose as Conservatives, and that Mexican loving moron that sits in the Oval Office.

Since 1996, there have been more than 200 confirmed incursions by the Mexican military into the United States.

Sunday night’s incident bears similarities to other incursions by armed men in Mexican military gear in recent years:

The incident occurred in the same area where heavily armed Mexican soldiers riding in a Humvee shot at a Border Patrol agent in 2002. A .50-caliber bullet ripped through the agent’s rear window as he sped away.

Mexican officials denied at the time that the shooters were Mexican soldiers, saying they were criminals using military uniforms. It is a position they steadfastly have maintained.

Hate speech?? Oh well, a few of the afore mentioned brain-dead posers will think so and will deny that we are at war. They will call me an evil racist for what I believe to be the only solution to this problem, but that’s OK too, by far, many folks KNOW me for what I really am and are rapidly seeing my recent detractor for what HE really is as well.

Place U.S. troops on our border with Mexico, issue specific orders, SHOOT TO KILL, anything crossing that border at anything other than a LEGAL border crossing. If it just so happens that those ILLEGAL crossings are being made by members of the Mexican Army, too damned bad, shoot them down like the INVASION force that they really are.
