Obama aide: Gun legislation in ‘near future’
Six months after the shooting in Tucson that killed six people and wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., the Obama administration has yet to move on new gun control legislation.
That could change soon.
White House spokesman Jay Carney said a special task force has been “working through these complex issues, and we expect to have some more specific announcements in the near future.”
Gun control organizations such as the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence have pressed the Obama administration since the Giffords shooting and have been critical of what they call a lack of action.

Several very astute gun bloggers and Conservative bloggers have floated the idea that the news media and their massive, and never ending coverage of the Casey Anthony trial may have been a *smoke screen* for other, more pressing and more dangerous matters.
I think they may be right!
Barack Hussein Obama and his regime are the most anti-gun administration to come down the pike in quite a long while. They have made no secret of their anti-gun stance, the only thing that surprises me about the story is this; it comes from USA Today.
Gun rights advocates such as the National Rifle Association have said the Giffords shooting should not be used as an excuse to infringe on the rights of legitimate gun owners.
Carney said a variety of views are being taken into account as the administration looks at efforts to prevent mass shootings.
The NRA is 100% correct in their stated opinion. The Obama regime seeks to trample on the Second Amendment rights of FREE and law abiding American men and women.
Second Amendment – A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
What part of “shall not be infringed” does Obama and his totally inept regime of assorted anti-American MORONS not understand?
“The president directed the attorney general to form working groups with key stakeholders to identify common-sense measures that would improve American safety and security while fully respecting Second Amendment rights,” Carney said.
What respect of the Second Amendment would that be?
According to *some* the administration’s agreement to talk about writing a United Nations treaty to regulate arms exports and imports is a far cry from banning possession of firearms, which Obama says he doesn’t want to do and the Supreme Court has said can’t be done anyway.
The SCOTUS has ruled, but I don’t trust, nor do I believe Barack Hussein Obama when he says he has no desire to regulate, or attempt to remove guns from the hands of private citizens.
In a March op-ed for the Arizona Daily Star, Obama said he wanted to focus on strengthening background checks so criminals or mentally ill people could not get weapons.
I guess Obama must be that big a fool, we already have more than enough gun laws and legislation on the books regarding guns, LEGAL ownership and so forth.
Personally, I would think Obama and Company would be leery of writing or recommending ANY type of gun law at the present time. I would think that with the DOJ, FBI and DEA under serious suspicion and investigation of violating U.S. gun laws, and as a result of those violation(s) getting U.S. enforcement officers killed due to the actions OF these agencies, I would think that stirring up American gun owners would be the last thing Barack Hussein Obama would want to do right about now. But, you never know what goes through the mind of a person like Obama and his truly evil and anti-American minions.

I know that every time we try to talk about guns, it can reinforce stark divides. People shout at one another, which makes it impossible to listen. We mire ourselves in stalemate, which makes it impossible to get to where we need to go as a country.
However, I believe that if common sense prevails, we can get beyond wedge issues and stale political debates to find a sensible, intelligent way to make the United States of America a safer, stronger place.
I’m willing to bet that responsible, law-abiding gun owners agree that we should be able to keep an irresponsible, law-breaking few — dangerous criminals and fugitives, for example — from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.
I’m willing to bet they don’t think that using a gun and using common sense are incompatible ideas - that we should check someone’s criminal record before he can check out at a gun seller; that an unbalanced man shouldn’t be able to buy a gun so easily; that there’s room for us to have reasonable laws that uphold liberty, ensure citizen safety and are fully compatible with a robust Second Amendment.
That’s why our focus right now should be on sound and effective steps that will actually keep those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.
I submit that Barack Hussein Obama is the most ignorant SOB to EVER infest the Oval Office.
His silly screed about criminals and the guns they acquire only reinforces that statement more.
Has Obama never seen a gun shop? Has he never seen the form a potential gun owner has to fill out before a gun can be bought? Is he unaware of the INSTANT check system that’s in place to make it nearly impossible for a criminal to buy a gun from a legal gun dealer?
Does Obama have some goofy idea in his head that’s telling him CRIMINALS go to the local gun shop and actually BUY a gun?
Is Obama so STUPID that he actually believes these things?
Apparently so.
Most of the *bad guys* are now very aware that they can buy a gun or 2 from the DEA, FBI, DOJ, hell, maybe out of Eric Holder’s car trunk.
Barack Hussein Obama and his band of ne’er do wells are about to open a can of worms they don’t really want to open and I don’t give a damn WHO doesn’t like the way I say it!
Some otherwise brilliant Americans need to open their eyes to the EVIL that IS the Obama administration and realize that this poser is selling us ALL down the river!
No doubt BHO will stick his finger in the pie and make a Pearl Harbor style attack on our gun rights, he has it in his sights, don’t go to sleep.
If liberals looked upon the Second Amendment like they do other parts of the Constitution, they would demand laws requiring every homeowner to own firearms and for the Federal Government to pay for them.
This Casey Anthony trial and aftermath is distracting a lot of people. You can bet the Obama regime is moving fast to get their policies in place.
Maybe Obama already has a gun control plan. They will buy all the guns and ship them out of the USA. Let me see what could we call this plan??? OH! OH ! I got it could be…”FAST and FURIOUS”. That is a great name and no one will ever know what is going on!!!!!

Obama knows that criminals aren’t buying guns legally but he doesn’t give a damn, he just wants to push gun control on law abiding citizens and we cannot let him get away with it!
Obama was preparing to use the violence at the Mexican border as an excuse for gun control legislation and Hillary began to lay the groundwork, but then Brian Terry was murdered and Fast and Furious came to light. I believe that the US was letting the criminals buy these guns in order to create a crisis so that the Obama regime could implement gun control.

Curbing private ownership of firearms is a step that every dictator takes — or tries to take, anyway.
Let’s think back a minute to November 2010. Remember how the liberal pundits said that Obama would move to the center after being handed a defeat in a mid-term election? Well, he hasn’t done so. He staying his destructive socialistic course.

Any time a politician at any level or of any political stripe uses the phrase “common sense”, I get very nervous. I don’t know where B.O. came from, but I know exactly where he should go.
