U.S. oil gusher blows out projections

Pay attention America; WE HAVE BEEN SCREWED, and I can’t think of any nicer way to say it.

We’ve been screwed by Liberal politicians, tree huggers, Greenies, anti-oil people and by those that control drilling and exploration.

I have long advocated; the USA is NOT out of oil, we never have been, and quite likely may never be.

U.S. oil gusher blows out projections

The United States’ rapidly declining crude oil supply has made a stunning about-face, shredding federal oil projections and putting energy independence in sight of some analyst forecasts.

After declining to levels not seen since the 1940s, U.S. crude production began rising again in 2009. Drilling rigs have rushed into the nation’s oil fields, suggesting a surge in domestic crude is on the horizon.

The number of rigs in U.S. oil fields has more than quadrupled in the past three years to 1,272, according to the Baker Hughes rig count. Including those in natural gas fields, the United States now has more rigs at work than the entire rest of the world.

“It’s staggering,” said Marshall Adkins, who directs energy research for the financial services firm Raymond James. “If we continue growing anywhere near that pace and keep squeezing demand out of the system, that puts you in a world where we are not importing oil in 10 years.” SOURCE

There is no excuse for the USA to import oil from ANY nation, we are literally swimming in oil, and have been for ages.

The Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, the Permian Basin in West Texas, and the Bakken Shale in North Dakota have been hubs of the domestic crude boom. They now make up about 40 percent of the nation’s land-based oil production, noted Adkins, the Raymond James analyst. He projects that proportion will grow to two-thirds by 2015

The above paragraph mentions 3 huge producers, oil fields that are not being tapped to capacity. It doesn’t mention ANWR, the Arctic National Wildlife Preserve, and it mentions nothing about Canadian oil sands or the possibilities that they present if the USA were to go ahead with the Keystone XL pipeline and its implementation.

Keystone XL will play an important role in linking a secure and growing supply of Canadian and American crude oil with the largest refining markets in the United States, significantly improving North American security supply. Keystone XL will have the capacity to transport 830,000 barrels of oil per day to Cushing, Oklahoma and Gulf Coast refineries. Approximately 25 per cent of the oil delivered by Keystone XL will be American crude from the Bakken oilfields in Montana and North Dakota and from Cushing, with the remaining capacity supplied by Canadian oil sands. Together with the existing two phases of the Keystone Pipeline, the entire system would be able to transport 1.3 million barrels per day. SOURCE

But WHO just pooped all over the Keystone XL pipeline project?

On Wednesday, the State Department announced that it recommended rejecting the application of TransCanada Corp. to build the Keystone XL oil pipeline, and Mr. Obama concurred. The project would have transported heavy, oil-like bitumen from Alberta — and, potentially, from unconventional oil deposits in states such as Montana — to U.S. refineries on the Gulf of Mexico coast. SOURCE

Obama and the State Department, that’s WHO! Need I say more?

Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton, the President and the Secretary of State, put an immediate STOP to any and all discussion of the Keystone XL pipeline, and, therefore, hurt the American people by way of killing JOBS and further hurt the American economy through not only those job loses, but the loss of untold MILLIONS of gallons of gasoline, AMERICAN gasoline, for the American consumer.

People in the know, people that support the oil industry and American production, have known for a very long time, there is NO oil shortage, there is price manipulation. That’s it.

About a year ago I presented this piece: New report says U.S. has largest fossil fuel reserves in world, offering information about oil reserves and just how much we have right here in the good old USA.

Back in Sept. of 2008 I posted this piece: Ever heard of the Bakken Oil Formation?.

Now someone please explain to me how an uneducated, dumb redneck from Texas can find information like this, and easily see the feasibility of producing the oil that these fields contain, when our own government can’t see it, and won’t even entertain the notion of trying to obtain that oil, thus freeing us from the Arab oil trap?

I am not the only one to see the so-called oil shortages and supply problems for what they are. See this piece from early 2005: Oil Fields Are Refilling…Naturally - Sometimes Rapidly - There Are More Oil Seeps Than All The Tankers On Earth.

The *NEW* sources in the Gulf may NOT be economically feasible, but Bakken, ANWR, Canadian oil sands and the Keystone XL pipeline are ALL feasible. All it takes is a U.S. government with the BALLS to stand up and make it happen.

IMO, Obama is deliberately trying to bring us to our economic knees.

The rising price of gasoline and oil are dangerous in the extreme to our fragile economy right now. Hell, I’m paying over $600/month to heat with oil my small, energy efficient house.

  2. PatriotUSA says:

obama is making good on his statement that ‘energy prices will necessarily skyrocket’ or something along that line.

AOW: I live in Oregon and have watched the environazis and the liberal state gov’t bring this state to near ruination by green policies and laws pushed by those who hate America and American exceptionalism.

We also have a huge amount of COAL and the muslim in the White House is doing all he can to kill that as well. Gasoline is now creeping up to close to $4.00 a gallon here. We have watched our cost of all utilities ‘skyrocket’ and there is no sign they will ever come back down.

  3. mrchuck says:

In Los Angeles today, gas is 4.98/gal.

Obama, the Marxist, WILL BRING the USA to a crippling posture, then being ripe for a Marxist take-over.
Our only hope is to vote him out this coming election.

  4. minuteman26 says:

There is enough crude beneath the continental US to last for over 250 yrs. Yet gas is approaching $4.oo a gallon. Want kind of deals has Obama cut to cause this? Why are we importing when we have all we need here? Obama may have shit in his own nest. Predictions are when price of reg unlead goes over $4 Obama will be toast at the polls as he doesn’t have enough time to correct the situation. Rise in gas prices will cause consumer goods such as food to skyrocket. Another way Obama is trying to destroy America.

  5. TexasBrady says:

We were just talking a few minutes ago about the apparent glut of oil within the grasp of the United States; My question is this, why is it that past administrations have kept this hidden from the citizens of our Country.

Am I to believe that NO ONE knew of this, that no one knew of the Bakken and all of the other sources of oil for this country? Am I to believe with all of the searching for oil in the past 50 years, that no one knew that there was more oil right here in our own back yard, if this is true, then our very on government is the STORY, followed by the oil.

    However, the greed of MONEY

  6. TexasBrady says:

For some reason my post posted before I wanted.

What I was saying was the GREED for money makes strange things happen. Nothing shocks me anymore. This is just plain ass wrong. It would take more or less 10 years to get this from the ground to the pump, maybe less time, I am just guessing. However, with the threat of new oil coming out the Middle East would be hard pressed to find anyone to match the oil consumption that the USA needed. The Middle East would have to hustle to make up the difference.

Again, my question is WHY? Someone please explain this to me. If you would.

  7. Katie says:

With all this oil why is our gas prices soaring? Who is Obama selling this oil to? Why aren’t we developing all of our oil reserves?

Obama wants us to capitulate to the Arabs so he can impose Islam on us.

    • TexasFred says:

I don’t think it was said anywhere in this story that there was ANY suspicion of Obama selling OUR oil to anyone…

The issue is production, lack of it and price manipulation…

  8. TexasBrady says:

What we need desperately other than the oil we have is some new refineries in this country. Why is HUSSEIN rushing to BRAZIL giving them 2 billion to finance WHAT? A new refinery but leaving us out on the end of a weak branch which is about to break. Yet this weekend I got some hate e-mails calling me a BIGOT RACIST and anti-black simply because I chose to question Obama and his Marxist Administration.

We are in trouble and “HUSSIEN” is turning the handle on the rotisserie as we slowly get charred to death.

I am sorry for the rant but I just can’t believe that all of AMERICA is asleep at the wheel and has not seen what’s headed down the road at us.

    • TexasFred says:

But you ARE a BIGOT RACIST and anti-black…

      • Patrick Sperry says:

*chuckles* No doubt they will play the race card yet again Fred. That is what is done when they have no decent arguments to oppose you / me with…
        LMAO!

    • TexasFred says:

Seriously, you’re right on the money, and it’s not just the Kenyan SOB either, when was the last time a POTUS, from either party, did a damned thing that the tree huggers and Greenies objected to?

We need a POTUS with BALLS, big, BRASS BALLS!

    • Patrick Sperry says:

All of America has not been sleeping Chief. Of that, I can assure you.

More too follow as stated above.

  9. Robert says:

I’ve been listening to all the talking heads blaming this that and the other thing over the gas prices. Funny, the lefty’s shield Obama from gas prices because he has no control. However: GWB’s and his oil buddies were the reason we had 3.00 a gallon odd aint it?

Anyway, we’ve been saying for many years that the nation we love held all the resources we need to survive and dominate. However, the special interests of the environmental al goricle sheep movement have kept us buying oil from raghead goat fkrs. Until someone comes along and is willing to match dead body pictures of our men and women with that of turtles and lizards we’re going to continue this path of destruction.

Lord Knows, if they allowed me to run the energy dept for a year the enviro’s would go tits up in a week. The nation would be on a path of sustainability and the ragheads would killing their own folks instead of ours. Drill everywhere and start in Al Gores back yard.

  10. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

ALL of that, LITERALLY, beneath our very FEET, and Obaka and the Demorats and the Religious Left think that it’s a sin, a SIN! — to do the logical thing and TAP IT and REFINE IT and USE IT.

We don’t have to ASK anyone, we don’t have to SHIP IT across great oceans, we don’t have to PUT SOLDIERS IN HARM’S WAY to produce it. . .

We just have to have the national WILL to TAKE what is OURS for the taking.

Obama and Gore and you assholes like him: WTF do you think is going to power your pissy little laptops and iPods and iPids and iPuds and iPads and iPeds and your Tweets and Burps and Bleats and Belches and Nosebooks and Scrotebooks and all your do-nothing little social vomitus?

Right, what the hell: you’ll just take the BUS everywhere. To HELL with cars. Yeah, and bicycles. And walking. Hell, we’ll just WALK from Los Angeles to Tucson. We’ll freeze in the winter and smoke in the summer.

America, you are SO about to get what you fully deserve because — wait for it — Mr Obama is about to get RE-elected due to your stupidity and ignorance.

  11. Bunkerville says:

Keep your eye on the refineries. The last ones just shut down in Phila., and it is costing millions to upgrade existing ones. This is the next move. No refineries, no oil that helps us out.
