15 States including Texas have filed a petition to secede from the United States

As of Saturday November 10, 2012, 15 States have petitioned the Obama Administration for withdrawal from the United States of America in order to create its own government.

States following this action include: Louisiana, Texas, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon and New York. These States have requested that the Obama Administration grant a peaceful withdrawal from the United States.

These citizen generated petitions were filed just days after the 2012 Presidential election.

Louisiana was the first State to file a petition a day after the election by a Michael E. from Slidell, Louisiana. Texas was the next State to follow by a Micah H. from Arlington, Texas. SOURCE

Sounds good doesn’t it? 15 states have filed petitions asking, ASKING Barack Obama to “Please Sir, let us go free…”

If only it were that simple, and if only the people putting these stories out there had the INTEGRITY to tell you the truth.

1. These petitions are NOT initiated by ANY state, they are started by an individual, not a state official or state representative.

2. These petition are not OFFICIAL petitions in ANY sense of the word; these petitions are hosted by WhiteHouse.gov and you must be a registered member of WhiteHouse.gov to actually sign the petition.

This petition move is a FARCE!

You must give the government YOUR personal information in order to submit your name to a petition that the U.S. government is holding so that some weak-minded folks can do something all touchy-feely that makes them feel warm and fuzzy about their effort to save America.

The Texas petition reads as follows:

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.

As of 12:46 am, Sunday, signatures obtained by Louisiana, 7,358; Texas, 3,771; Florida, 636; Georgia, 475; Alabama, 834; North Carolina, 792; Kentucky, 467; Mississippi, 475; Indiana, 449; North Dakota, 162; Montana, 440; Colorado, 324; Oregon, 328; New Jersey, 301 and New York, 169. Many more States are expected to follow.

As of right now, at the time this piece was published, 16,981 Americans have pretty much made fools of themselves and have the Obama administration laughing their asses off at the naivety they have exhibited.

Did you people not watch the news? Did you not get the memo? Obama won the election by a substantial margin, both popular vote and Electoral College.

Barack Obama does not give a DAMN about what WE think, about what we want or what some silly-assed petitions have to say. Do you honestly believe that Obama and company are going to pay any attention to some BULL SHIT petition started by a citizen, one that happens to collect a few signatures?

Well if you DO believe he will then YOU are as delusional as these folks that have signed the petitions on WhiteHouse.gov.

Wake up folks, you don’t petition the U.S. government and ask them to PLEASE stop what they are doing and give your state its release from the United States. That is THE most stupid thing I have ever heard of and it is a total waste of time and energy.

Do you want to have a secession movement, a REAL secession movement that has at least a chance of gaining traction and going someplace? Forget trying to garner signers to a petition on a White House site.

This is a STATES RIGHTS issue, not one that can even be addressed with the Obama administration or ANY level of the United States government.

Get organized on a local and county level, get your state representatives involved and get this on the floor of your STATE HOUSE! That is where the REAL action lies, use your energy in the right direction, not wasting on a silly petition and a CORRUPT U.S. government!

If you don’t know who your state representative is, FIND OUT! This can happen, this secession thing, and it can truly affect the U.S. map if it’s done right!

    1. What the hell is a “petition” like that doing on WhiteHouse.gov, EXCEPT to

    a. Make you look the fool, and
    b. Provide pointed information about you to the federal government, and
    c. Have you placed on an IRS audit list for 2013

Nothing like that belongs on the White House website.

    This is ridiculous.

Exactly, and that is why I can’t believe the weak-minded people that have fallen for it… My God, if IDIOTS could fly this would be an airport..

    • Chief says:

Exactly… I believe that the OFUBAR administration actually is starting these rumors just to create a database of idiots that they can, at some future date, invade the privacy of their homes and take away their guns, property etc and lock ‘em away as “enemies of the state”.. Just my opinion… I do love a good conspiracy.

You’re right. Obama doesn’t care what the people say. He also doesn’t care what Federal Courts or Congress says. He’ll just issue an Executive Order and do what he wants or declare Executive Privileged to hide what he’s done. He already has and the majority of people don’t care. They not only don’t care, they supported him in doing so. The arrogance coming out of his mouth right now is at a all time high.

  3. Katie says:

A state will never be able to leave the union by peaceful means. It will take blood and sweat to gain freedom from Obama’s destruction. How many of these so-called Patriots will lay down their lives for what they believe in? How many will send their sons? Their daughters? How many will instead run home begging for slavery to save their asses?

I am willing to give my life, my children, my sacred honor for Freedom. Unless you are willing to take up arms, fire upon your fellow man, and yes die for Freedom, all talk of succession is just hot air.

    • TexasFred says:

      Exactly right Katie!

These clowns asking the Obama regime to *release* their states peacefully are MORONS… The time for petitions is long gone, we are led by a POTUS that is an anti-American MAD MAN and these goofy bastards are running petitions that sound like Oliver Twist!

Please Sir, be gentle with us…

I don’t believe any state will ever be allowed to succeed peacefully. The Union fought a war 150 years ago to prevent any state from succeeding. Even if a state could legally succeed, I don’t believe the Federal Government will allow it. Also, within the next four years, SCOTUS will be so far left that there will be no hope for any proper Constitutional rulings. The two Obama are lock step in line with his wishes.

  5. Chief says:

    Fred,
In response to the last 5 or 6 paragraphs/sentences you wrote.. I did contact my STATE of Georgia rep…
    Here’s his reply”
Thank you for getting in touch with me about Georgia’s position regarding secession. To be clear, the State of Georgia has NOT submitted formal articles of secession to Congress expressing its request to peacefully withdraw from the Union. However, the petition you are asking about apparently does exist.

This is apparently a petition that has been created by citizens to ask for peaceful withdraw from the United States and that can be seen here at:

    https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/peacefully-grant-state-georgia-withdraw-united-states-america-and-create-its-own-new-government/pgJ9JLY3?utm_source=wh.gov&utm_medium=shorturl&utm_campaign=shorturl

While I share you frustration that the federal government has an inability to balance the budget, cut spending, strengthen our dollar and change our destructive foreign policy that we can’t afford, secession should only be used as a last resort. Throughout history many countries have tried to alter or abolish their ties with an all power central government and declare their independence but many of these attempt have never been peaceful.

I do not advocate secession at this time. However, what I do advocate is for States to start resisting federal mandates. States should also start nullifying federal law that is unconstitutional and also interpose on behalf of its citizens to protect their liberties.

Please learn more about nullification and interposition. These are remedies I think can be peaceful and give states more power to check the feds when they infringe on the rights of the people and the states.

    Sincerely,

    Representative Jason Spencer

This is exactly why I like to spend my free time perusing your blog posts Fred… I can bask in truth, logic and reason for awhile. Those items have become a rarity in the USA these days.

Sadly, the lemmings are falling prey to panic attacks it would seem. Best rule of thumb, trust nothing that ends in “dot gov”. Sad to say, but that’s the space I occupy these days.

  7. Bunkerville says:

Well, at the site you listed, one can get the WH beer recipe. From the inane to the absurd at that gov site.

  8. mrchuck says:

Here is how I look at it from my perspective, and any others of “my age”.
I’m 74, still have a calm trigger finger, but i will stand and defend my homestead here.
    Lots of past experience here.
Secession is just too complicated for me.
Governor Perry and I are graduates of TEXAS A&M, different years,
Perry has already posted his thoughts,,, which are also mine.
I do not see this USA going down the toilet that easily.
Romney was just not the “candidate”we needed to win the election with.
We will find one sooner than later, I’m sure of.
So, keep calm, keep your arms ready, and get involved or watch our politics closely and voice your opinions if needed.
    And support the NRA!.
Actually, I am more scared of the Clinton’s than of the Obama’s.
So, keep aware of their political happenings.
Obama will be gone in 4 years, period.
Who knows, maybe the demorats will want Moooochelle to run for the election!
