Key critics of Arizona immigration law admit not reading it

President Barack Obama and his administration began blasting Arizona’s controversial immigration law the day Gov. Jan Brewer signed it. But over the past week, a growing list of top administration officials, including Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, acknowledged that they haven’t read the legislation.

The revelations come as Republicans step up their criticism of the Obama administration’s response to the Arizona law, which makes it a state crime to be in the United States without proper documentation and directs local police to pursue, during a lawful stop, detention or arrest, the immigration status of people they reasonably suspect to be illegal immigrants. The law has generated calls for economic boycotts of Arizona and has led to five lawsuits, many filed by civil-rights groups.

On Thursday, Holder, who has a team of Justice Department attorneys reviewing the statute to prepare for a possible legal challenge, told the House Judiciary Committee that he had only “glanced at it.”

“I have not read it,” he said.

Would I be out of line by pointing out something that is very obvious? We are a nation governed by MORONS!

Our President sides with Mexico against the wishes of the voters and Governor of Arizona. The POTUS refuses to enforce U.S. law and condemns those that do enforce the law of the land. That is not right America. Barack Hussein Obama stood in agreement, at the White House, with none other than the president of Mexico. Obama stood AGAINST legal America citizens and legal immigrants that took the time and made the effort to become LEGAL!

Our borders are no more secure today, under Barack Hussein Obama, than they were under ANY president, for as far back as I can remember. But Obama speaks of border solidarity with Calderon of Mexico.

Questions about whether a politician has read a particular piece of legislation are not exclusive to the Arizona law. During the recent health-care-reform debate, for example, opponents on Capitol Hill commonly accused supporters of not having read the long, complicated legislation.

“What’s come to light in the past year is one of the great dirty secrets of American politics: Most public officials don’t read legislation,” said John J. “Jack” Pitney Jr., a government professor at Claremont McKenna College in Southern California.

Mr. Pitney is quite correct. The politicos don’t read the crap they foist off on us, but I have to ask, if our elected officials aren’t reading these bills, especially the ObamaCare debacle, why do we as a nation have to accept their supposedly superior intellect and judgement of what’s right for this nation if they themselves can’t tell you what’s IN the bills they pass into law?

Administration officials suggested that questions over who has read the Arizona legislation are a distraction that takes nothing away from the detailed, ongoing review of the law.

Yeah, somehow, reading the bills and getting to the truth is always a distraction, at least for the elected officials in D.C. it appears.

“The attorney general has been thoroughly briefed on the law, which has already been amended since the initial version passed, and has heard concerns from a range of law enforcement and community officials,” Justice Department spokesman Matt Miller said in a written statement. “He and the department will continue to review it in detail to determine what options are available to the federal government.”

Options? Options they say? Here’s an option, enforce the laws of this land. Do your job in D.C. and the states won’t have to do it for you. If you don’t have the guts to do the job, shut the hell up, sit down and watch as the American people give you and yours a taste of what’s to come!

On Monday, Napolitano told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that she had “not reviewed it (the Arizona law) in detail.”

Janet Napolitano is a disgusting liberal! Of course she would have vetoed the law, further allowing the safety abd freedoms of LEGAL Americans to be eroded by this infestation of ILLEGALS!

On Tuesday, McCain and Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., hammered Michael Posner, the assistant secretary of State overseeing the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, for bringing up Arizona’s immigration law last week during a human-rights dialogue with Chinese officials.

Isn’t it amazing how Juan McLame comes out all feisty and mavericky when there’s an election on the line? John McCain was all for AMNESTY a while back:

Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act (“McCain-Kennedy Bill”, S. 1033) was an immigration reform bill introduced in the United States Senate on May 12, 2005 by Senators John McCain and Ted Kennedy. It was the first of its kind since the early 2000s in incorporating legalization, guest worker programs, and border enforcement components. As United States immigration debate unfolded in Congress and in the field during 2005 and 2006, the bill became a landmark legislation that was often referenced by most parties of the debate to indicate support or opposition to a certain kind of immigration reform that incorporated the three components. The bill was never voted on in the Senate. The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 and the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 are two additional compromises based on the original McCain-Kennedy bill. SOURCE

McCain blows any way the wind blows, and once again, all he’s doing is pandering for votes. He’s a gutless WIMP, a politician that can’t tell you which side of an issue he’s on until he checks to see just how close the next election is. A typical RINO.

Ladies and Gents, we are faced with the most incredibly incompetent leadership our nation has ever suffered, and we’re not even half way through the nightmare that IS the reign of Barack Hussein Obama and his band of ignorant ne’er do wells. God help us, we have to remove the RINOs and then declare WAR on the libbers that are even worse than the RINOs.

We have to take this nation back folks, by ANY means. The incompetent leadership of the Dems and RINOs has got to end, the sooner the better.

And today we see this: Senators press for National Guard troops on border. Again, Juan McLame is crying for troops all for the good of Arizonians and America in general.

Where have ya been for so long Johnny?

We all KNOW where you’ve been, and we all know that you’ve now grown a set, you know, since it’s election time and all.

You duplicitous old RINO bastard!
